A beautiful Christmas tree stood in the center of it all.
People gathered around it to exchange gifts or speak with the Santa Agumon that had arrived at the start of the party and would leave just before eight so he would have time to get around the whole Digital world.
Slade stood off to the side having just replaced one of the light bulbs as a kind deed without anyone noticing. Something about this time of year made even the cruel and cold Slade wilson (Known as "Ron Pearlman" to the hotel) stop and think fondly of the family he'd lost over the years.
Did he regret the choices he made when he stood alone on Christmas Eve with a cup of cocoa as his only warm companion? That was a secret that only he knew as he smiled casually up at the glowing star.
