Sandy and Gottsumon were taking a brisk pace through the park on their way back to the hospital. Like most nights Sandy intended to sleep there in the same room as Hana.
Normally traveling after dark was something she avoided in the digital world, not out of fear but logic. Still it was getting darker sooner as the Fall weather set in and she'd lost track of time training with Ran.
She was sore, but felt good. It was nice to spar and train. Made her feel stronger. More Confident.
Gottsumon had to admit she was more fun like this too. He liked the excersize and the more she got the happier she was.
The duo jogged along the path through the shadows of the night with the wind behind them how great it was to be young and free.
Their pace didn't slow as they left the grass of the park for the streets and buildings again. The fastest route back to the clinic was to cut through a maze of alleys behind some shops. Sandy had done it enough times she never got lost anymore...though it was usually brighter out when she was passing through.
Undaunted she led Gottsumon down the unlit stone path avoiding the metal trashcans and turning the corner leaving the street and the streetlamps behind them so only the moon and the stars lit their way.
