"WE'RE ROBOTS!" screamed Dell. "JUST LIKE YOU ARE!"

He turned towards Haku, growling. "Just get out of here, alright?! I'm not letting you get hurt because of me!"

Chrysalimon screamed in anger again, this time releasing a burst of electricity at... well, everyone in the room.

Whatever was going on in Rin's head was not boding well for the rest of them. The digimon that was angrily attacking was just making things worse, and Gaku had no idea who's it was or why it was even there.

But Dell's insistence that Haku leave them behind was enough to irritate him in to taking action. If Len could take care of his sister, that was more than any of the rest of them were capable of, and they all needed to get the hell out. Fast.

"No one's getting left behind!" he snapped, letting Dell go and bolting forward, intending to run past Rin and grab Haku in order to escape with both siblings.

He never made it, though. Chrysalimon's attack hit him square in the chest, sending him back with a scream of pain as the electricity arced around his body, leaving him unconscious and in convulsions when he hit the floor.

"HAKU-NEECHAN, I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING!" Len shouted, not even noticing the yellow glow around him as he struggled to keep a hold of the struggling Rin. "Rin! St-AAAAH!" Len screamed as he felt the electricity hit, taking most of the attack headed in their direction himself, only conscious because of that yellow glow that led to several things happening at that moment.

Down the hall was storming an Agumon Hakase, expression cold with the slightest tinge of annoyance. "Who is making this racket? You are disturbing my SCIENCE!" He declared and came upon the scene just as the electricity hit Len.

And then the yellow glow surrounded him. "Agumon Hakase evolve...GWAPPAMON! DJ SHOOTER!" He shouted before really thinking about it. Cursed impulse to protect his tamer. Either way though, he was sending CDs flying at Chrysalimon.

Haku was still hesitating, still unwilling to leave Len behind, even as Chrysalimon lashed out and took Gaku out. She, luckily, had the sense and the distance to be able to duck the attack, a little bolt just barely nicking her in the shoulder.

When Len went down, though, she had to bite back a panicked, angered scream. Though too conflicted to get Phascomon to evolve, a bit of faded purple Digisoul began to appear at her hands.

She had to trust Len. She had to trust Len and get Gaku and Dell out of there.

With Chrysalimon being distracted by Gwappamon, Rin mostly distracted by the entire situation (and that whole thing about why no one was bleeding), Haku took the chance and ran down the hall, grabbing Gaku by an arm and heading for Dell.

Rin stopped struggling, mostly because she was so shocked at what was going on. Why did Len protect her? What was that weird bug? What was that weird amphibian? What was going on? Why did Dell say they were robots?

The girl shook, trying to push Len's form off her, but not succeeding. "Get off me, get off me, get off me, I-- I need to get to my garden, I need to get to my garden..."

She started muttering to herself, eyes wide.

Chrysalimon let out a violent screech as the CDs struck him, piercing his armor and causing him to revert rather quickly. He fell to the ground, as Keramon, with an unceremonious thump.

Dell growled at the sight of his partner, and instantly began to limp away, ignoring the blue bug for now.

"Gwappamon, make sure everyone gets away from here!" Len shouted, still fighting to take a hold of Rin.

Gwappamonn, having no bloody clue what was going on, decided that he'd listen for the moment and moved to pink up Keramon and to leave where all the others were obviously heading.

"Rin, Rin, I know how to make your garden better, if you listen!" Len said in a low voice so only she heard.

Haku was damn near in tears. She didn't want to leave Len, but he wasn't giving her much of a choice. Then again, neither was Rin in all her insanity.

Snagging Gaku by his collar, she hauled the unconscious 'loid up and put an arm under him, dragging him until she could reach Dell and put her other arm around him, giving him support in order to get them out of their fast.

"Don't you dare argue with me..." she said thickly, trying to keep back her tears. "We're all getting out of here. L-Len knows what he's doing..."

I hope...

Rin continued to struggle, finally pulling away from Len and leaning against the wall. "Nothing can make my garden better... Nothing but something to grow in it! Nothing in this place grows, nothing at all!"

Len let her go, but pushed himself to his feet even with protests from his safety measures to move as little as possible. He put on a bright smile for Rin.

"But that's what I mean, Rin. I know how you can make them grow," he said, holding out his arm that had been cut. "I know how you can make me bleed."

This was a horrible, horrible idea.

Haku had managed to get Gaku and Dell in to her apartment, and while they were safe for now, she couldn't shake the terrible feeling Len was going to do something horrible to himself in order to get Rin to stop.

She hesitated at the door, knowing Dell would be mad at her for not staying, but she couldn't take it any more, knowing Len was fighting out there alone. Leaving Phascomon, Dell and Gaku and their partners behind, she ran back in to the hallway.

"Len!"

Rin stared at Len's hand. It didn't bleed...but he said he knew how to make it do so.

She wanted it to bleed. Then it would grow...

"How?" She thirsted for this knowledge, she needed it.

"You just need t-" Len started and then Haku came back. He froze mid sentence, looking towards her in horror.

"Go back! I'm...I'm going to help Rin! It'll be fine! She'll come later!" He said. Hoping Haku got she'll be back to normal and Rin would think he was talking about her harvesting later.

"I-I wanna help you... Len, please! She's my sister, too!" Haku pleaded, taking a couple of steps forward and holding her hand out, looking desperately at Len.

"W-we can't stop this one! We have to think of something else! You're just going to get damaged!"

Rin almost stayed calm - but then she saw Haku-sempai who was holding out her hand and-

She jumped to her feet. "I-I need to make my garden grow!" Her eyes went wide and she looked around for her knife. She looked like she was ready to jump either of them.

"Haku-neechan needs the secret to bleed too!" Len said, grabbing Rin's wrists. "But I'm the only one who knows it. So going after her will just make it a waste because it won't work then if you get the arm, but don't know the secret," he said quickly.

He shot Haku a look. "And Haku-neechan knows that with another one around, it doesn't work. Throws off the focus of it."

Anything, anything to keep her from going after anyone else. He just hoped Haku would leave. If he played it right, he might come out undamaged, but the last thing he wanted was her to have time to go after more than one person.
