Where: Neon City (Hyperion) and then Junk City
Draca was excited. It had been a long time since she and Master and Little Sister had been taken from their world, and it had been hard in the time they had been there. She knew Master missed home … she missed home. If they were home now he would probably have forgotten about his hatching-day, just like he had here, but his kin would have made sure to celebrate it anyway.
Which was why Draca had done the same. It wasn’t much-they didn’t know many people well enough to think they’d come-but just maybe it would help Master feel not so lonely for a while. She looked around; she’d been right about the ‘not many people’ part, but that was okay. Master was currently doing his rounds, and it looked like everything was ready … the den-master could call Master to the room and then they could begin.
It probably wasn’t a good idea to surprise him-Master didn’t always take surprises well-but this was the way they always celebrated when he forgot his hatching-day, just because it was so fun and normal.
She just hoped it all turned out okay.
