Anna may not have had any friends of her own, save for her fiance, sister and...whatever she considered Jinx to be - she wasn't even sure where Jinx registered, save for the fact that both would do anything to keep a certain blond-haired Tamer safe; but she knew that friends were important for people to have.

Hence why she hadn't visited Hana since the previous day and didn't visit until she was certain he was alone. What she hadn't expected was to see her son wide awake like he hadn't been through hell and back...!

Hana was incredibly busy with other things when Anna arrived and so he didn’t notice her presence at first.

… Okay, so he’d been attempting to scratch a spot on his back he just couldn’t seem to reach. But it was incredibly important to him! He’d had an itch there all day and the bandages certainly weren’t helping.

He let out a huff at his most recent failure to drag his nail across the inflamed skin and pouted. Disgruntled, he scanned the room, simply out of boredom.

The immediate change in mood when he saw his mother was so miraculous you’d have thought someone had replaced the young boy. But of course, no one but Hana and Yoh possessed this kind of grin.

“Mother!” He sat up immediately, his arms reaching out in a vain attempt to grasp at her. His face registered pain for the slightest second as his body reacted to his outburst, but now it was expressing nothing but untold joy.

Anna only took about 3-4 steps forward, but it felt like less to the itako as she pulled her son into a fierce hug, lightly hitting him on top of his head 1/2 a second beforehand.

"...Don't you ever do something like that again, Hana! Do you have any idea how worried Yoh was about you?" Anna wasn't about to admit-out loud, anyway-that she'd been just as worried, but the intensity of the hug she gave him was probably enough to say otherwise.

The hit hurt worse than she’d probably intended, what with his massive head wound. He flinched and clenched his jaw, biting bit a yell of pain. It swiftly passed.

He pressed his face into her, breathing in her welcoming scent, immediately comforted by her, even though he’d had no idea he needed to be comforted. He became wrapped in the sense of his mother, his ultimate feeling of security and love.

“I’m sorry.” Came his replay, muffled by her embrace.

"..." Anna was almost grateful Hana had pressed his face against her chest, since it meant he wouldn't see her cheeks turn crimson at his actions! Regardless, the itako stroked her son's hair, content in the fact that she hadn't lost Hana like she initially thought she had.

"You know I'm not letting you do anything when it comes to training, your 'job,' or your friends until you're 100% healed, right?"

“But I’m almost better.” He pulled away slightly to flex his arms, only to wince slightly, but he ignored it. “See? I’ll be able to leave in no time.”

He quickly sought out contact with her again, slipping his arms around her in a hug, looser than before, but the affection was still there.

Anna had seen his light wince and shook her head, inwardly admiring his determination when it came to what she'd mentioned seconds ago but still not budging on her decision. "You'll be able to leave, but that doesn't mean I'm letting you run around yet. Or, would you rather return to doing the Electric Chair the day you're let out...?"

The itako allowed him to pull her into a hug, wrapping her own arms around his upper back and holding her son close.

Hana, with his face hidden from his mother while he hugged her, pulled a look of terror. "Erm... On second thought, my head still really hurts and I think something's wrong with my pancreas." He made it obvious he had no idea what a pancreas really was and had just picked the word at random when he pointed to his chest to display where the organ supposedly was.

"Hmph...! Guess you might need to get that operated on, huh?" Anna noted, glancing down to where Hana had pointed and though she didn't know where the organ was located at, she knew it wasn't near his chest.

He nodded vigorously. "They'll have to cut me open and pull out my insides." He turned his head to grin up at his mother. "But then Faust might give them to Eliza instead of back to me!" He giggled, jokingly.

His grip around his mother tighten and he nuzzled further into her.
