Sandy wasn't asleep, she wouldn't miss any of this.

He was alive, he was awake. She could feel him moving, feel his pulse, his breath. Touch him without worrying about breaking him.

Gottsumon was sitting off to the side watching the window for people they knew. His Tamer was finally happy again, what could be better.

And softly, after all her tears had been spent she mumbled the words that she'd only whispered to him before.

"I love you Hana."

Hana blinked when she first spoke. He felt a small blush creep onto his face and was slightly glad she wasn’t facing him.

Of course, being him, the serious implications and the plainly obvious truth went over his head so quickly that, if you looked closely, you could see the ruffle of wind in his blonde bangs.

He brought his hand up to rub behind his head sheepishly, a smile on his face. “Eheh. Thanks, Sandy-chan.” The peaceful smile kept its place as he continued. “I love you too.”

Sandy wasn't a fool. She knew he didn't fully understand...

...but hearing him say it sure felt good.

You could have at least waited for me." The figment of Sandy's imagination that looked like Tiffany pouted on the other side of the bed.

Sandy smirked and turned to face him smiling softly, "As soon as your better I promise we're gonna play twice as much. I'll train with you too. A friend of mine promised to teach me karate."

He was toying with her hair again, twirling it around his longest fingers, raking his entire hand through it. He beamed down at her when she turned to face him.

“I’m glad we’ll get to see so much of each other.” His eyes sparkled at her mention of karate. If he’d have been better, he might have jumped up and down in celebration for her, but he still attempted to cheer for her. “Wow! Really?” He gazed at her in awe. “That’s so cool!” He winced at his own outburst, not realizing how badly he’d damaged himself.

"Knock knock."

A flushed from jogging and grinning wide Jinx arrived leaning on the doorframe. "Am I interupting something?" She teased meeting Sandy's eyes before Hana's.

Sandy blushed and pouted.

Joy filled Hana’s eyes and he swiftly turned towards the doorway. Being careful not to move his legs in fear of nudging or hurting Sandy, he threw his arms open.

Sadly, his body did not agree with all this movement. The dull numb pain that had been with him most of the day was replaced by a burning hot one. Unable to contain it, a distorted mask of pain flashed across his face before he quickly replaced it with a massive grin. “Jinx-nee!” He called, displaying none of his earlier discomfort.

Jinx sighed and shook her head with a smirk, "You're gonna have to take it easy for a while little guy." She crossed the room in a few long legged steps and leaned in to give him a hug and a peck on the cheek softly purring "I missed my little brother so much."

Sandy felt a pang of jealousy but held her smile, this was Jinx after all. The sun rose and set on her butt as far as Hana was concerned.

Hana waved his hand dismissively. “Pfft, you’ll see. I’ll be up and training in no time.” He received the hug gratefully, squeezing her tightly, ignoring his broken body screaming in protest. “But I didn’t go anywhere.” He giggled.

A flash of concern appeared in his eyes. “Jinx-nee has been okay? And everyone else? No one got hurt? Not like…” He felt the guilt rush through him and he swallowed, looking down. “Not like Tiff-chan.”

Jinx was saved an answer as Yu clambered in through the window grinning. Charlie was clinging to the windowsill and complaining loudly, "Why couldn't we use the door?"

"Tiffany's fine Hana I checked on her this morning, she's just gotta sleep for awhile." She smiled and then presented him with a box. "For you!"

There came a rattle from inside the box and a familiar "Baka!"

He felt slightly better at the mention that he friend was okay but he was cheered immensely by the arrival of the small, grumpy infant.

Men forced his way out of the box, flashing a frown at Yu and pointing fiercely. “Baka!” He yelled with meaning, obviously he had not enjoyed his time in the box.

“Ton-kun!” Hana called, grin plastered across his face.

The small child immediately turned. Recognition flashed across his face and his frown lessened significantly (although it remained there just like always). “Hana!” He called and reached towards the boy. “Hana up! Up!”

The blonde complied. Picking up his small friend, who instantly started tugging at his hair and twisting his nose. Of course, Hana endured it, still smiling.

“Baka Hana! No leave again! Baka!”

Sandy grinned, "Little guy kept me company while you were out." She reached up and ruffled Men's hair affectionately.

Yu chuckled, "And gave me a piece of his mind when I told him I had a surprise for him."

Jinx was relieved she hadn't had to lie to Hana about her arm or how she'd hurt it. Her work clothes hid the bandages and she could use it just fine. "Well I have a little something too." She proclaimed and with a flick of her wrist produced eight small sweet oranges held between her fingers.

Men reached out and grabbed at Sandy’s fingers, tugging on them. “San San!”

Hana cheeks threaten to pop at the strain of smiling so much when he saw his sisters’ gift. “Funga fu fu!” He exclaimed. Gently, he placed Men down on the bed and reached for the oranges.

“Fu fu!” Men copied, and tried to reach also. “Fu fu mine!”

Jinx purred cheerfully, "I'll peel them for you, come on enough for all of us, and more where these came from."

The girls grinned matching grins, Yu even stuck two oranges in her mouth to look like a chipmunk.

Sandy responded by pushing oranges down the front of her shirt "Hee hee, boobies."

Jinx laughed.

Men was successfully getting more orange on his face than in his mouth, but he ate quietly, like he usually did.

Hana however, was a lot more vocal. He chuckled at his friends then let out a little groan of appreciation as he ate the orange. “Funga fu fu~”

Giggling he looked at each of the people in the room, feeling like he could burst with happiness. He was back with his friends again. Back where he belonged.
