Katherine had been one of those who had been more than willing to assist in setting up the festival. She'd shown up before the sun rose, and had spent much of the morning simply preparing the site for preparation.

Making this easier for Sadie was the least she could do to make an important holiday more enjoyable for the young woman.

The funnest part, she had to admit, was the hangi. Cooking beneath the ground was a totally new experience for her, and something she was eager to dive right into. As it was now, she was seated near the food pits, wearing a wide brimmed sun hat and an over-sized T-shirt. Her features were streaked with dust and sweat, but she was smiling brightly as she awaited everyone's arrival. Beside her on a small table rested an absolutely huge hourglass, sand flowing through the narrow channel showing that there was indeed just a little while longer before the food was done.

Seeing Sadie with her tree just made her all the more happy. This was certainly a holiday that she could get behind.

Leormon was dozing on the ground beside her. He too arrived early, but he didn't seem to have the boundless energy that his partner had.
