Where: Neon City, Katherine's apartment
Today had been a decidedly long day. After Violet sounded the alarm earlier, she'd spent several hours patroling Neon City, looking for the trouble that was afoot. By the time it was all said and done, the only thing she'd accomplished was stopping a simple mugging, and getting late word about what had transpired. She'd have to check up on that poor fellow later, to say nothing of go over the logs to see if this was a sign that anything bigger was to come.
Now that the excitement had passed and the all clear was sounded, she wanted nothing more than to settle down in her chair and get some light reading done. She'd changed out of her costume back in the city, and took a few minutes to grab some fast food with Leormon before she came home. Cooking just sounded like more trouble than it would be worth. Now that she was finally in front of her apartment door, she could practically taste the soothing relaxation that awaited her on the other side.
"You're going to keep reading, I assume?" Leormon asked her as she put the key into the lock.
"Unnatural occurances don't take holidays, Leormon," she said with a soft smile, swinging the door open.
"Of course," her partner told her, stepping into the apartment ahead of her. "I'd say that it wouldn't hurt YOU to take a holiday, but we've had that discussion before."
"Yes," Kat confirmed, giggling and shutting the door behind her. "Yes we have, and besides, I know when to take a real break, and I'm not there yet."
Leormon rolled his eyes playfully and sat down in front of her. "Can I help you with anything?" he asked.
"I'll let you know," she said to him as she took off her shoes. "Thank you."
Her thoughts were already diving ahead of her to ponder what materials she'd need tonight.
