( Fate was sitting calmly, in a chair, in the room Alicia was being kept in. )

( Fate was sitting calmly, in a chair, in the room Alicia was being kept in. )
This time, as she awoke, though, the first thing she DID see was that photograph.
Her eyes widened, surprised at first, and then who was sitting beside her bed struck her.
Alicia's eyes widened further, and she just... laid there, staring at Fate, practically frozen in absolute fear.

"You don't have to be afraid of me," she said. "I know... how you must feel about me, but... I don't want to hurt you..."

She looked around. She wasn't in a prison cell. Just... a hospital room. There was no one around besides Fate herself...
And, then there was...
"Why do you... why do you have that...?" she said, staring at the photograph.

"Mother gave that to me," she said, "to remind me of what my place was. That I should go back to her, and accomplish her goals..."
She sighed. "I've always kept it with me... to remember her..."

Alicia turned her gaze away from Fate. Everything Vivio had told her... she couldn't be telling the truth, she couldn't...
"Everything h- he told me..."

"She was lost because of me," she said. "Because... I decided to turn against her. Even if my intention was to save her... that still set off the series of events... she fell to her death, with your body, and I couldn't save her..."
Fate looked back up, tears welling up in the corner of her eyes.

She let the tears come, as her expression hardened. "I wanted... I wanted nothing more than to be a sister to you... for us all to be a family. But at the same time... I've part of something that destroyed your family... and now your innocence..."
Fate looked away. "You don't have to be my sister. You don't have to care about me. But you deserve the truth, at least... and not Scaglietti's lies... Hate me for what I've done, not what he has claimed..."

She looked at Fate, and felt a bit of shock grip her. Why was she crying...? And the things she was saying...

She suddenly cringed, clutching the place on her back where her Demon Seal rested.

She doubled over, body trembling as the seal began to pulse.

She looked back up at Fate, tears streaming down her cheeks. But not with hate or fear, but simply a gaze of seemingly utterly lost. "Why... why are you being so nice...?" She mumbled, and brought her hands up to her face. "Why can't I... why can't I hate you for saying all of that...?"

She reached forward and wrapped her arms around Alica, hugging her tightly. "Mother was kind. But it's no one's fault what she became, it's... it's just something sad... something unavoidable...
"You don't have to hurt anyone... I won't... I won't interfere with you... I'll try to help you reach out to mother... I'll help you fight the Demon Seal... or I can step aside... not do anything to trouble you..."

She sobbed helplessly against Fate's shoulder for a good while before she stopped, blinking and sniffling as she looked up. "PawnChessmon... Fauchard... where..."

She smiled wider. "As for PawnChessmon... he's waiting for you. Do you want to see him?"

She wasn't exactly very coherent right then, but she stopped and stared at the device, reaching out for it.
"You're... just going to give this back to me...? When I could still attack you...?"
