Who: Ling, Ran Fan [Partners? Ran's won't be there.] What: Serious Talkytimes. When: April 05, 2009 - Early Morning [a little before sunrise] Where: Poyi Mountains; on the roof of where they're staying.
"Yo," proclaimed Ling, dropping soundlessly next to Ran Fan quite literally out of nowhere. Cliff's lessons on movement had indeed paid off. There was nary a warning before he had practically dropped out of nowhere.
"Nice night," added Ling cheerfully. "Isn't it Ran Fan?"
For the first time in however long it had been (years? probably years), she actually jumped when Young Master dropped next to her. Once calming down enough, she felt herself nod, and made a mental note to brush up on her detection skills.
"Indeed it is, Young Master," She responded quietly. Politely. As she was trained to for a good portion of her life.
"Aw you can dispense with that for a little bit." chuckled Ling.
Then his expression turned serious. "Ran Fan, I need to talk to you, not as a master to a servant but person to person. Can you, for the moment in time, call me Ling and not Young Master?"
Her eyes widened. When was the last time she'd seen her Young Master so serious? It had been ... much too long. And when he was ...
Internally, Ran Fan cursed herself for knowing her Young Master so well.
When he was serious, though ... it was time, more than ever, to comply to his wishes. So, she nodded, the usual serious expression on her face becoming even more serious.

"Yes, You--Ling."
