To say that Martel didn't have ulterior motives would be a lie.

She asked Kratos out for a walk. She wanted to talk to him, try and lessen the awkward situation they now found themselves in. She had everything she wanted to say all planned out ...

But of course, when she saw him, she forgot everything instantaneously.

Now the two were walking in the forest, side by side, and she hadn't a clue on what to say. What made everything worse was that she couldn't stop feeling totally overheated. Her cheeks were hot, her entire body felt a bit tingly, and she wasn't quite sure why she felt like this. She wanted to reach out and grab Kratos' hand, but .. she decided against it.

But she thought about it.

And she wanted to.

But she stopped herself.

... but she wanted it.

Her hand reached out for what seemed like the seventy-kajillionth time that walk ..

and she pulled it back.

No. She couldn't.

... but she wanted to. Really.
