Shou had been snoozing lightly on the roof when he got the message, the insistent ring tone alerting him to the message.

Gathering his things, he headed for the elevator.

... stated a quiet guardian at his shoulder and Shou nodded. He hadn't realized for months that he had indeed begun to see spirits like Judai, but figured it was bound to happen later. One was surprising, Kiteroid but the monster had been through him for ages. The other was Cyber Dragon, though its presence only arrived when he was in danger.

As the elevator dinged, he pulled his jacket closer around him since he was a little chilly. "Resa?" he called out.

Resa was waiting and she was rubbing her arms up and down to get warmer. Having a sleeveless dress with nothing but a white sash definitely did it in for her.

However, she heard her name and blinked. She turned around slowly before recognizing Shou's voice. "...S-Shou...?"

"Resa-san?" inquired Shou, his expression lighting up. Then it fell as he exclaimed, "Oh no, you're cold! Here."

Pulling his jacket off, he offered it to Resa. "It'll keep you warm."

Seeing Shou made Resa calm down just a little bit. She stifled a shiver before blinking at Shou offering his coat to her.

A gift of kindness...

She took it and nodded her head in thanks before pulling it on her.

"T-Thank you, S-Shou."

"It's no problem," smiled Shou. "There's a warmer part of the inn. This part here is under repair still."

He indicated a warm looking lobby complete with a crackling fire that was being attended every so often. A pair of plush chairs sat there as with a steaming pot of tea. "I had a friend of mine bring down some tea for us. I hope you like milk tea?"

Resa nodded at Shou's explanation and she nodded again. Any kind of tea was relaxing.

"S-Shall w-we go in, then?" She asked with a faint smile.

Shou nodded and headed in, holding the door open for Resa before pulling her chair out a little for her to sit at. "Niisan always said to be polite," he explained before taking his own chair and pouring two cups.

There was a playmat set down for both of them, and Shou placed his deck belt to the side. "Sugar or cream?"

"Y-Your Niisan must be a-a gentleman himself." Resa said before she sat down and crossed her legs over one another to sit like a proper lady, all upright without slouching.

She gazed over to the playmat and she took out her deck that still had the Seal of Orichalcos in it as well as various other cards that related to the Orichalcos. "S-Sugar..." She replied quietly.

Shou nodded, mixing in the tea and sugar before passing the cup over to her.
"Niisan was always very insistent on being as nice as he could be... for a while, he lost that kindness but I helped him get it back." said Shou, thinking of when he returned to the stage as the Hell Kaiser.

"How are you holding up?" he inquired as he mixed his own tea, milk and honey together. "It must be difficult to be new here."

Resa took the cup of tea and she nodded once again in thanks.

"I... see. Did...something happen to make him... like that?" She asked in curiosity.

"I'm... I'm d-doing 'fine'..." She looked away slightly. She didn't like the Digital World at all, but she was trying to get used to it.

Shou nodded. "Niisan entered the pro leagues and his first duel was against Edo Phoenix. Edo made Niisan look like a fool in front of thousands of people. He went underground and re-emerged as the Hell Kaiser, a duelist who took every battle as life and death, win or loose."

"But that's where I told him that he wasn't my brother, he had become someone else. He lost his kindness, and that's why I fought so hard to help him when he regained himself." Shou smiled at the memories that lead to the creation of his deck. "And that's why I do the best I can."

"I'm glad," added Shou, "That arriving here hasn't affected your smile, Resa-san. Even when times are tough, I'm glad you can smile."

If there was one thing Resa retained from her days, it was being an extremely good listener. After he was done explaining, she nodded and chuckled slightly. "Seems... slightly like w-what DOMA did, huh...?"

However, her face lit up when Shou gave her that compliment. She blushed slightly, but smiled all the same. "T-Thank... you..." She quietly responded.

Shou beamed as he placed his now empty tea cup on the table. "Thanks for listening too," he added before popping his deck case open and shuffling the cards.

"Aniki always said that it was good to smile. I'm glad he regained that in the end," said Shou before holding out his deck for Resa to shuffle when she felt like it. "Careful," he added with a wink, "these cards can be touchy sometimes."

"You're welcome. It's... something that... people complimented me for in my days..." Resa smiled a little sadly. She did miss her small family, no matter how much pain they wrought upon the world.

"Mm. This Aniki would definitely get along with Yuugi, then..." she added in before she handed over her deck to Shou so that he could shuffle it. She took his own deck before jumping slightly. The spiritual energy these cards produced was incredible...!

"..." stated the same quiet voice over Shou's shoulder.

I know... the deck's alive too, replied Shou quietly in his mind before he shuffled the cards. This will be a fun game!

"Aniki would have loved to meet Yugi again," said Shou as he continued to shuffle her deck, taking care not to flip any cards over as he did so before offering it to her. "Yugi-san gave him his Hane Kuribo card."

When Resa was done, she sipped some of her tea down and put the cup back on the saucer. She handed Shou his deck and vaguely wondered if the Orichalcos would be active.

She hoped not, because she didn't want Shou to lose his own soul.
