Gathering his things, he headed for the elevator.
... stated a quiet guardian at his shoulder and Shou nodded. He hadn't realized for months that he had indeed begun to see spirits like Judai, but figured it was bound to happen later. One was surprising, Kiteroid but the monster had been through him for ages. The other was Cyber Dragon, though its presence only arrived when he was in danger.
As the elevator dinged, he pulled his jacket closer around him since he was a little chilly. "Resa?" he called out.

However, she heard her name and blinked. She turned around slowly before recognizing Shou's voice. "...S-Shou...?"
Reply
Pulling his jacket off, he offered it to Resa. "It'll keep you warm."
Reply
A gift of kindness...
She took it and nodded her head in thanks before pulling it on her.
"T-Thank you, S-Shou."

He indicated a warm looking lobby complete with a crackling fire that was being attended every so often. A pair of plush chairs sat there as with a steaming pot of tea. "I had a friend of mine bring down some tea for us. I hope you like milk tea?"
Reply
"S-Shall w-we go in, then?" She asked with a faint smile.

There was a playmat set down for both of them, and Shou placed his deck belt to the side. "Sugar or cream?"

She gazed over to the playmat and she took out her deck that still had the Seal of Orichalcos in it as well as various other cards that related to the Orichalcos. "S-Sugar..." She replied quietly.

"Niisan was always very insistent on being as nice as he could be... for a while, he lost that kindness but I helped him get it back." said Shou, thinking of when he returned to the stage as the Hell Kaiser.
"How are you holding up?" he inquired as he mixed his own tea, milk and honey together. "It must be difficult to be new here."
Reply
"I... see. Did...something happen to make him... like that?" She asked in curiosity.
"I'm... I'm d-doing 'fine'..." She looked away slightly. She didn't like the Digital World at all, but she was trying to get used to it.

"But that's where I told him that he wasn't my brother, he had become someone else. He lost his kindness, and that's why I fought so hard to help him when he regained himself." Shou smiled at the memories that lead to the creation of his deck. "And that's why I do the best I can."
"I'm glad," added Shou, "That arriving here hasn't affected your smile, Resa-san. Even when times are tough, I'm glad you can smile."

However, her face lit up when Shou gave her that compliment. She blushed slightly, but smiled all the same. "T-Thank... you..." She quietly responded.

"Aniki always said that it was good to smile. I'm glad he regained that in the end," said Shou before holding out his deck for Resa to shuffle when she felt like it. "Careful," he added with a wink, "these cards can be touchy sometimes."
Reply
"Mm. This Aniki would definitely get along with Yuugi, then..." she added in before she handed over her deck to Shou so that he could shuffle it. She took his own deck before jumping slightly. The spiritual energy these cards produced was incredible...!
Reply
I know... the deck's alive too, replied Shou quietly in his mind before he shuffled the cards. This will be a fun game!
"Aniki would have loved to meet Yugi again," said Shou as he continued to shuffle her deck, taking care not to flip any cards over as he did so before offering it to her. "Yugi-san gave him his Hane Kuribo card."
Reply
She hoped not, because she didn't want Shou to lose his own soul.
