Who: Picodevimon and Dracmon
What: The Femme Fetal
When: Tuesday the 10th, Night.
Where: Tetha.
The moon lit the soft supple flesh of a young woman till she almost appeared to glow. She was lost...and yet she knew exactly where she was.
She liked this part of Tetha...lots of dark alleys, the streetlamps didn't all work and it had a very rough feel to it. It reminded her of a home where she'd never truly felt at home.
The girl had been living in Junk City for as long as she could remember, often flying high enough over the rooftops to gaze at the much glitzier Neon City. But she wasn't the type for the pretty lights and sounds...she knew her place in the world was amongst the dirty unwashed treasures waiting for someone to clean them up. Broken things needed fixing, dirty things needed cleaning before they could be seen for the beauty that was within.
Then the day came she met Noir. She wasn't sure how she felt about suddenly having the weight of the world thrust upon her shoulders. She tried to ignore the feelings of responsibility, tried to tell herself it was Noir's job and she was just along for the ride...but the more time she spent with Noir the more she realized he was like her treasures. Dirty, banged up and broken...but he had potential to be something great.
It wasn't until Terra nearly killed him that she realized how much she really cared about him. Watching him go off the cliff had been scary...but when he was OK at the bottom her fear turned to frustration.
But after Terra...she was so scared to push him...scared he might break even more. She didn't know how to fix him, how to clean the feelings of failure from his soul.
It had taken weeks, almost months to bring him around...his friends were a huge help and she would never be able to repay them for fixing him the way she couldn't. She was a lousy partner unable to understand her Tamer, not even able to evolve to defend him.
Perhaps if she just left now he could find someone new...a partner who he could bond with. Maybe turning into the girl he was so afraid of was a sign from Yggdrasil that she was all wrong for Noir?
She'd never put much faith in the Digital God...but maybe there was a method to the madness after all.
Maybe in reality she was the filthy broken object...not her tamer.
Footsteps echoed down the near silent street...a fluttering sound signaled a familiar trenchcoat. A broad dark figure with an unmistakable hat slipped between the beam of a streetlight.
No...no she couldn't let him see her...not until she was back to normal if ever again. She'd just hurt him again. In a panic she darted into a nearby Ally and waited in the shadows as Noir passed by calling for her. His eyes scanned the darkness for her but she kneeled down behind a air conditioning unit and held her knees to her ample chest silently begging him to keep going.
Leave me behind before I do to you what all the other girls in your life seem to do.
After a hesitation...like he sensed her...he walked away vanishing into the night.
