Jinx sighed idly as she shuffled her cards for the fifth time in an hour.
Thursdays were always really poor days for business. It seemed that no one was really all that curious about their futures on Thursdays. By far she got her most business on Friday through Monday.
The inside of her tent was pleasantly warm. She had installed a kotatsu to keep herself warm but had it turned down because the chill was still fairly mild outside the tent.
The inside of her tent was decorated with glittering things she had picked up from around town, crystal balls, key chains with fake gems on them and the air was filled with a faint pleasant scent from some oils she'd purchased. It was supposed to make the room smell like pumpkin spice.
It didn't...it wasn't a bad smell but it wasn't as accurate as it claimed to be. It smelled more like potpourri with a hint of cider.
Cider would be great right now. Jinx thought to herself as she watched Fanbeemon buzz around the outside of the tent. He didn't like staying inside it for long because it made

Conan was usually an early riser. Though he was up a bit later today, but after a late night of looking up all he could on both Chi's family and Norse mythology, he had been beat. Even now, he was only up because Leormon woke him up an hour earlier to get pancakes.
Conan looked at the tent as he walked by and paused. He'd seen it several times before, but never gone in. He shrugged and walked over. Might as well check it out.
Seeing the signs that all said fortune teller when he walked in wasn't a pleasant surprise. Another con artist?

Conan opened his mouth to respond before it turned into a yawn. "...not much, Jinx-neechan." He said and looked around. He had no reason to tell her about his cases. "You do fortune telling?"

"Well most of the time...they seemed to mean something to Kaito when I read his cards..." She idly recalled reading for Kaito not too long ago and fanned the cards out in her hands elaborately, "I always check my fortune once a week and it's always helped me in one way or another...call if fate or fake I suppose if someone believes in something long enough it can become truth."
Re: [9:00 A.M]badluckbabeNovember 14 2008, 02:21:56 UTC
Her eyes were flat and she reached across the table and flicked his nose sharply, "I can't twerp it's against the rules...stop acting so cute it's giving me a cavity."
Re: [9:00 A.M]only_1_truthNovember 14 2008, 02:29:01 UTC
"Ow." Conan yelped and rubbed his nose. Well, there went that idea. "...how much does it cost?" If Kaito thought there was something, maybe there was? This place did have weird magic stuff.

"Eh..." Jinx thought about it and sighed, "Alright for you kid a free be, but just one, you come around next time you pay." She waved a finger at him teasingly admonishing him.
She slipped the cards across the table to him very thoroughly shuffled, "cut the deck and focus on your hearts deepest desire and wish." she instructed watching him very carefully.

Conan paused and stared at the cards. Well, why not? He'd already gone this far. He focused on his wish. To take down the Black Organization and return to normal. He thought and cut the deck.

Damnit, Leormon! Conan thought and paused when he saw Jinx. "...Jinx-neechan?"
