Who: Sayu, Manami, partners, ??? (like you can't figure THAT one out, this time) What: Lets make matters even WORSE. When: October 28th, Mid Afternoon Where: Just outside Neon City.
Sayu fell to the rooftop and immediately dropped to her knees, clutching her hand and gritting her teeth to keep from yelling. She was really wondering if that crack was JUST from Kurata's nose...
GeoGreymon, meanwhile, joined Manami and Wolfmon, pointing his sword down at the man. "I'd suggest cooperation. I do not believe any of us here have any qualms about what would happen if you resisted."
Sayu looked down as he vanished, cursing under her breath. "Dammit..." she muttered, and then sighed, beginning to make her way down the fire escape - carefully cradling her hand - until she was at GeoGreymon's level. The Digimon reached out, picking her up, and setting her back down on the ground.
She continued sneering at the spot Kurata had been. "...freak."
"Ma- Manami..." Sayu stammered. Instinct told her to hug her back, but... she didn't. Instead, she reached up and grabbed her by the shoulder, pushing her back just a bit.
She smiled lightly. "I'm fine... really. I... think I may have hurt myself more than he did me..."
"No, Sayu," she said. "Especially not... not after what I've said. You're right about everything, and I... I wouldn't want our last conversation to be a fight..."
She took a deep breath. "I can accept how you feel about Yuma, but... I still want a chance to... to be in your life..."
Sayu pushed away completely and began nervously tugging at a strand of her hair. "I... never wanted to shut you out, send you away, or anything like that..." she murmured, starting to pace a bit. She also eyed her partner as he shrunk back down into Palmon.
"I'll take my leave," he said, "but I'm still keeping an eye out." He then began to walk off, motioning for Wolfmon to follow.
"...I'm not gonna lie," Sayu said softly. "I was really hurt... that you weren't there, that you were avoiding me, that you ... even suggested the possibility of giving me up... that you didn't trust me..."
Manami couldn't make eye contact, her hands balling into fists. "I just... I wanted to give you room to..."
"... And then I got angry," she said, tears forming at the edge of her eyes. "I'm sorry... I didn't... I acted so horribly towards you when I should have tried to be supportive...
She paused, before looking back at Manami and trying her best to smile again. "...but then, so am I a lot of times, and I knew that going into things from the very beginning... It doesn't change how much all of that hurt, but it also doesn't change the fact that... I..."
She gulped, looking away and down at her feet. Her hand was actually rather sore by now, but she did her best to ignore it.
"That I love you..."
She immediately gave a heavy sigh, clenching her eyes shut. "Which... just makes this all so much harder..."
"Can... can we start over...?" she asked. "Not completely... I mean, this whole situation. I can't... I want to try and give you a chance to find out how you feel, but... I don't want to... abandon you again..."
Sayu held her eyes tightly shut, trying to keep any threatening tears from spilling out. "...the... the problem is, why it's so difficult, why it's not clear cut... I've... figured that much out... Manami, I know how I feel, which is what makes it so difficult to know what to do..."
She paused and took a breath.
"It's... not something I expect you, or her, to accept... What we've shared hasn't been at all meaningless, and... I mean what I just said. I love you. But... I... love her, too..."
And before he could get up, Manami and Wolfmon both had their weapons trained on him.
"Kurata Akihiro," she said. "Under DATS' authority, we place you under arrest!"

"It appears that you've validated your existance after all, Daimon Sayu," he said, reaching under his sleeve.
Manami's eyes widened and she fired... but moments later, Kurata disappeared, vanishing through a Space Time Jumper.

"Come on pal," he said. "We can get hot dogs while we play look out, or something."
Manami looked down. "Don't blame yourself, please... I've made you feel badly enough..."
