"Oy, oy, oy," said a voice, from a railing above Sayu. Sitting on it was a rather haggard looking man, who grinned down at her devilishly. At his side sat a Phascomon.

"You look like something's bothering you."

Sayu jumped, and looked up. Wow, her senses were REALLY frazzled if she didn't notice someone so close... Palmon, on the other hand, tensed, staring suspiciously up at the man, but then, that's how he reacted to every new person he met.

Of course, none of that changed the fact this guy looked rather ... creepy.

Sayu took a few steps back, still keeping her eyes on him. "Ah, that obvious, eh...?"

"None of your concern," Palmon said shortly, "I can assure you."

"Oh trust me," he said. "It's very much our concern."

Phascomon smirked. "Tell me, child, is your name Sayu Daimon?"

"Your... concern?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "...yeah. Yeah, it is."

Palmon stepped forward, scowling. "Who wishes to know?"

"Ah, how rude of us," cackled Phascomon. "My name is Phascomon, and this is Kurata Akihiro."

Kurata grinned widely.

"Hello, child. I'm the man who killed you."

Sayu's eyes went wide, her mouth falling agape. She gazed up at Kurata for a good while, before she lowered her head, body shaking. "You..."

She ground her teeth together. "...my mother and father suffered so much here because of you... And because of what you created, because Kagura Tsukasa in my world followed in your footsteps, then..."

Her left hand gripped into a tight fist. "Yuma..."

She snapped her head, eyes lit with rage as her Digi-Soul began to pour off her body. "YOU MADE A REALLY BIG MISTAKE APPEARING IN FRONT OF ME RIGHT NOW, YOU SON OF A BITCH!"

Before he even knew it was coming, a surge of evolutionary energy rushed through Palmon's body.

"Palmon, EVOLVE!"

"GEOGREYMON!"

The Digimon blinked, staring down at his partner. "Sayu...dono..."

She growled. "No mercy... not even an ounce... THE SAME AS HE SHOWED TO MOM!"

GeoGreymon looked back to Kurata and Phascomon, eyes narrowing. "...yes, Sayu-dono." Flames billowed in his mouth, and he unleashed a torrent of them at both. "MEGA FLAME!"

Kurata stood up... and activated the Protect Barrier function on his D-Reader. Cackling even as it shattered, he glared down at Sayu.

"You're just like your father, I see," he said. "Very well. It was my intention to test you. Now... show me the strength of someone who was never meant to exist!"

He pulled out a second digivice and shouted... "Gizmon, realize!"

A Gizmon Child materialized... and then dropped down to the ground in front of Sayu and GeoGreymon.

"Is that all you can do...?!" she exclaimed. "Everything you are, everything you've created... it's brought nothing but pain and misery to people I love! To my family, to Yuma!"

"You wanna see what we're capable of...? FINE!" she shouted, throwing her good hand out. "GEOGREYMON!"

Energy crackled around his helmet, and he took aim for the Gizmon. "MEGA BURST!"

"I don't even know who Yuma is," said Kurata, chuckling darkly.

The Gizmon's optic lit up for a moment as he jumped up, over the Mega Burst. Then, it lit up again, as it fired a beam straight down at the dinosaur digimon.

GeoGreymon jumped back, narrowly avoiding the blast, knowing that if it hit him, he'd be done for. "I shall not be so easily defeated!" he proclaimed, looking at Sayu. "Sayu-dono!"

"Right!" she exclaimed, grabbing her D-Reader. "Realize!"

"ZWEIHANDER!" GeoGreymon roared as the blade appeared - scaled to his size - in his hands. He held the sword up and glared at the Gizmon. "Now come, monster!"

The Gizmon didn't answer verbally. It couldn't. Instead, its optic flashed as it dove down, spinning like a living dervish as he attempted to slice GeoGreymon with his blade-like legs.

"IT SHALL NOT BE THAT EASY!" GeoGreymon yelled, swinging his sword to block the Gizmon's blades. And, at the same time, he unleashed another Mega Flame once the Gizmon was in point blank range.

The Gizmon let out an unearthly screech as it was thrown back by the Mega Flame. But it managed to spin in mid-air, and repel off of a nearby wall with its spider legs.

"You're right about one thing," said Kurata, "it won't."

The Gizmon's eye lit up again, and it unleashed a whirlwind straight at... Sayu.

"SAYU-DONO!" GeoGreymon screamed, throwing himself between the whirlwind and his partner. It struck, and he was lobbed off his feet, over Sayu's head, and into the street behind.

"GeoGreymon!" Sayu gasped.

"Now there's nothing to save you!" Kurata laughed gleefully. "I'll show you... you weren't meant to exist at all!"

The Gizmon powered up and fired its deletion beam, straight at Sayu.
