Curled up comfortably beside Nadie, Asch silently thanked all the times he'd had to pretend to be asleep in order to sneak out of the Fabre home back in his world...as well as only a night or two ago. At this moment, he couldn't be more glad that he had come here. Nadie's D-comm was strange, she wouldn't have been able to find the lightpost on her own.

Finally, at the soft tap to his shoulder, he knew that it was time. Eyes opened slowly, Asch pushed himself upright with the utmost care. They only had one chance to get this right. As he met Nadie's eyes and nodded to her, D-comm held firmly in one hand, his sword held still to keep noise down by his other, he hoped they didn't fail this attempt.

Nadie was scared, but she didn't dare verbalize her fear; instead, she gave a nod of confirmation toward him, meeting his eyes as he met hers. Her eyes could show how scared she was ... but that was only natural. They were kids, taking a GIANT risk with this escape.

The plan seemed simple enough; walk out of the camp as quietly as they could, so as not to wake any of the sleeping adults up, and then, once they were out of earshot, run the rest of the way to the lightpost. The lightpost wasn't TOO far, thankfully, but it was far enough so that they'd still have quite a way to go.

And this was difficult enough as it was.

Nadie kept a watch on Asch to know which way to go. He was brilliant with this sort of thing, she'd learned quickly.

As he saw Nadie's fear in her eyes, he spared a quick, confident smile in her direction. He was afraid, but he'd long ago learned to hide that fact when he and Adelle used to sneak off.

On his feet and hardly breathing at all, he slowly made his way in the direction he had determined the lightpost was earlier that day. It wasn't often he would sneak around outside, but it was the same as stepping around the looser floorboards in his own home.

He pressed the D-comm to his chest, afraid of any light emanating from it and alerting any of the adults to their escape. As long as he remained focused and didn't let his mounting fear scramble his memory, he felt more and more certain that they would make it out of here together, and safe.

Nadie returned his smile quickly with a small one of her own, though hers was much less confident. She began to follow him as he walked; he knew the way. She was sure of it. She had faith in him, and his ability to sneak around under the noses of adults.

Her D-Comm was shut, and remained in her pocket. Her job with this whole thing was to keep a listen for any signs of the adults waking up, or potentially coming after them - which, she knew they would if they had a chance to.

So far so good; hopefully they could keep this up.
