Who: Zuko and Azula
What: Wedding dress shopping!
When: July 8, Afternoon
Where: Axyori

Azula just had to pick today to drag him along for wedding dress shopping.  Zuko had been planning to work on planning her surprise birthday party, but at the crack of dawn that morning she called him and demanded he come with her as she searched for the perfect wedding gown.  Zuko didn't know why she wanted to go looking so bad,  she and Sokka hadn't even set a date for the wedding yet.  That was typical Azula though.  She always had to be five steps ahead of everything.  Even her wedding.

He sighed, pulling out one with huge poofy sleeves.  He wasn't even trying anymore, he knew Azula wouldn't value his opinion anyway.

"What about this one?" He called out across the store to her.  She stopped rummaging through dresses for a brief moment to look up at the dress Zuko had.  She stuck out her tongue in disgust.

"That is way too poofy," She rejected it, "I don't want to look like Cinderella."

"I think you'd look adorable in something poofy," Zuko said, causing Azula to roll her eyes.  He shrugged, putting that dress back on the rack and pulling out another one.  It was sleeveless and was embroidered with extremely intricate designs, "This one seems nice."

"...Do you see me looking at any white wedding dresses?" She questioned him, motioning to the rack she was peering through that was filled with cream colored ones, "I'm not getting married in white.  Makes me think 'Oh, who died?'" She explained, referencing the fact that in the Fire Nation white was most commonly worn at funerals.

"Azula, we're not in the Fire Nation, " Zuko muttered, shoving that one back on the racks as well.

"So?  How about this one?" She held one up to her body, showing it to Zuko.  He looked up and cringed.

"Its pretty...but...its just not you,"  Zuko moved on to another rack, filled with slightly more colorful dresses.  He snickered to himself when he found a neon pink dress.  He just had to show Azula that one.  She raised her eyebrow at him.

"Who the hell do you think I am, Ty Lee?" Azula asked.  Zuko laughed.

"I didn't mean for you, silly, I meant for me!" He exclaimed.   Azula groaned at his attempt at a joke.

A few minutes passed as both browsed the dresses.  Azula wasn't finding anything that suited her fancy.  They were all too lacy, too plain, too sparkly, too...everything.  Zuko wasn't finding much either.  Nothing that he knew his sister would like and nothing that he could turn into a joke.

...Until he spotted a red dress that even surprised him a little with how gorgeous it was.  It was extremely detailed, but not overly so and looking at it?  He could already imagine Azula walking down the aisle wearing it.

"Oh Azula~!" He called her name.  She peeked from behind her rack, "I think I found your wedding dress," Zuko said, pulling it all the way off the rack and out into the open where she could see it.  Her eyes lit up like stars and her jaw nearly hit the floor.  She squealed in delight as she ran over to Zuko, yanking the dress out of his hands.

"Its...Its red!  Like the blood of a thousand corpses!" She exclaimed, examining the dress for herself.  Zuko sighed, the palm of his hand connecting with his forehead.  Hard.

"...Why does he want to marry you...?  Why?" Zuko asked her, shaking his head.

"Because I'm completely psychotic.  He says it keeps things interesting," Azula answered with a giant grin.

"That's a bit of an understatement," Zuko mumbled under his breath.  She shot a dirty look at him as she headed over to the fitting rooms.  Once she was out of sight, Zuko couldn't help but laugh a little at her.  Red like the blood of a thousand corpses.  That was even more typical Azula.

After a few minutes, Azula stepped out of the fitting room, showing off the dress.

"He's going to see you and drop dead," Zuko joked, only getting another dirty look shot at him, but the look quickly faded from her face.  She was ecstatic at the moment, to say the least.

The dress was perfect.
