Yoshino had felt drained. There was the injury to her head, the exhausting and painful process she'd been forced to undergo... and then there... there was...

The only thing that was keeping her alert was anger.

And that anger exploded once Kurata approached her. "You..." she said weakly. "I'll kill you..."

"Now, that sounds almost like a threat," laughed Kurata. "Perhaps your new more predatory instincts are getting the better of you."

He chuckled. "But that's neither here nor there. Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant? I could have gotten something for the little tyke... but I guess it's too late now..."

He reached forward and pressed his hand against her stomach, which he knew had a vicious, fresh, poorly sealed up wound on it.

Yoshino winced, and tears welled up in her eyes.

"So... you've made into one of your freaks," she said, trying not to concentrate on the pain.

Or her dead child.

"You... you should know that I'd never hurt Masaru... that I'd never help you..."

"Oh, that's where you're wrong," said Kurata, picking up a headset. "You see, thanks to your friend Touma, I have technology that gave me insight to both the human and digimon brain. And since we're all data here, I managed to find a way to use the digimon control technology he developed to influence and rewrite memories

Yoshino screamed and thrashed... in her mind, it felt like everything was coming apart...

"Mother..."

She... she felt like she was playing the piano. That she was a little girl again. But then... then it all seemed to evaporate around her. Her mother disappeared, and her hands were moving against keys that didn't exist. Then... then the movements became meaningless.

"Lalamon..."

Now the vision played like a scene in reverse. Lalamon... no, Budmon was drawn back into her egg. Then, it floated up through the light, disappearing forever.

Her body stopped convulsing, and gripped the sheets, quietly sobbing.

"Masaru..."Their moments together... they disappeared, one by one. Their more intimate moments. Meeting Katsuro. The punch that she'd delivered to him in Tetha. Their defeat of Yggdrasil

Kurata smiled warmly, and took her hand in his. "Yes... Yoshino... it's me," he said. "Akihiro Kurata. Your father."

He nodded to his technician, who began to undo Yoshino's bonds. "Sweetie... there's something I want you to do for your father..."

He slipped a device into Yoshino's hand... and stepped back.

Yoshino sat up slowly, staring at the device. It was... it was a digivice, right? She knew what that was...

... Wait. Of course. She knew what it was. She shot her "father" a warmed smile and climbed off of the stretcher. Then, she walked forward, slowly. She raised the device and put her hand over the top of it.

A purple aura flared up around her.

"Hyper Bio... EVOLUTION!"

Instantly her body began to grow. Her skin turned from flesh to dense, woody matter, and her face stretched. What appeared to be flower petals grew out of the side of her head, and her lower legs split and transformed into a mass of quivering tendrils.

Leaves burst out of her back, and her arms split, becoming multiple vines... vines that grew flowers at the end of each one, that also sprouted multiple, jagged mouths. Her face was now just like those, except for the two eyes.

"BIO BLOSSOMON!"

Grinning, the Bio Hybrid turned to Kurata, and all of her many mouths cackled. Then, they all said in unison...

"Ladies and gentlemen... IT'S SHOWTIME!"
