Conner was suddenly in the thick of what was mass hysteria in down-town Tetha. There were angry and frightened digimon everywhere, and the same held true for the Tamers.

There was nothing to do but morph.

"Tyranno Staff!" he shouted, swinging his weapon at the nearest attacker - a Kokatorimon who was going after some kids.

"Fire Breath!" hissed NanoTyramon, breathing a stream of fire at another potential group of rivals.

Conner grit his teeth and fought on. He was really wishing for some other rangers right now...

"Dino Thunder, Power Up! Ha!"

In a flash of brilliant yellow light, Kira transformed into the Yellow Pterra Ranger. "Back off creeps," she snapped as she muscled her way through the mob, throwing a few digimon left and right. "Conner!" she yelled over the din. "Where's Ethan?!"

"Kira!" Conner exclaimed. "Man, aren't you a sight for sore eyes?!"

He swung his staff, knocking away a few more opponents. "Search me," he grunted. "Because I'm starting to think that the Triassic Ranger would come in really handy right now...!"

"You're telling me!" Kira kicked another digimon away from another pack of Tamers. "We need to split up once we find Ethan. There's a party line going down at the Pearl and we need to get the little ones to safety."

"I don't like the idea of splitting up," interjected Armadimon as she slammed into another digimon.

"I don't like it either, but we have to make sure as many people are far away as possible. Oh this is getting stupid: Pterra Grips!"

"Heck!" grunted Conner, as he grappled with another opponent. "I'd settle for the Z-Rex Blaster!"

Any commentary on her plan was wavered for the moment.

"Z-Rex Blaster would be nice. Or a legion of backup rangers! This is getting ridiculous." Kira kicked another away. "I think we need to step this up a notch," she remarked as a very large digimon loomed overhead. "You thinking Super Dino Mode?"

Conner skidded to a stop next to her, and nodded. "Sounds like a good idea to me!"

With that, he concentrated, and reached deep into his dino gem for power.

"SUPER DINO MODE!"

...

"Uhm. Kira. Nothing happened..."

And that was when Conner was blasted down the street by a Tankmon's cannon shot.

"Oh god--CONNER!" Kira became a hurricane of fists, punches and flying attacks as they cleared a path between them and Conner, rounding on the Tankmon. "You... YOU!"

Crackling Digi-soul erupted around Armadimon...

"ARMADIMON EVOLVE! PTERANOMON!"

The Tankmon was slammed away by Pteranomon's furious attack as Kira rushed to Conner's side. "You okay?" She forehead-palmed. "Duh, right. Dumb question."

Conner got up, a bit unsteadily. "Y-yeah," he said. "Thank god it didn't knock me out of morph..."

He fell to his knees, reverting back to human form.

"Okay... scratch that..."

"Aw geez," growled Kira, making sure that Conner was between her and Pteranomon. "Take a moment to recover. You think you can go for round two?"

Conner stood up. "I think I can," he said. "Let's see here... Dino Thunder, Power Up! Ha!"

In moments, he reassumed his Ranger form... but his stance didn't look quite as sure as it should.

"Nothing to do but keep fighting, I guess..."

"And it looks like you're gonna need some help with that." Tommy ran up with Saba. "Ready Saba?"

The YukiLeormon nodded

"Right! IT'S MORPHIN' TIME! TIGERZORD!"

"Yukileormon evolve to...KIMBAMON!"

A Dinohumon came rushing from behind the rangers intent on attacking them.

"REPPU KEN!!!"

The Adult level digimon was knocked off his feet by the purple wave of energy. As he got up, Rock was already on top of him. "HARD EDGE!" the chi powered elbow was sent directly between the eyes, a very important spot, one that when hit was enough to incapacity the digimon.

"Things have sure gone to hell here," Rock said aloud, not liking what had happened at all. Jeannemon was right beside him, looking to see what she could do to help. He turned his focus over to Kira. "So, my band mate is some sort of superhero. Well, didn't see that one coming."

"Expect the Unexpected?" replied Kira. "Dr. O, nice to see you around. Can you two keep the crowds busy?"

Turning to Conner, she added, "Can you even get Ethan on the horn? I can't reach my D-Comm right now. If we can get all of the other Rangers, we'll be able to cut our way through."

"Right. Saba, let's do it." Tommy ran in, trading blows with certain sword wielding Digimon, and Saba?

He had something he had been wanting to try.

"THUNDER OF KING!" An electrical blast flew, striking several of the oncoming Digimon.

Conner narrowed his eyes, before staring at Pteranomon and Kimbamon. "I will, Kira... just let me think of something..."

He concentrated... channeling the forces that he meant to go into his Super Dino Mode. But... this was "sent" somewhere else. Used differently...

And then suddenly, it felt like an explosion, and NanoTyramon's body lit up like a christmas tree.

"Whoah," said the digimon, "What the heck is- NANOTYRAMON EVOLVE! TYRANNOMON!"

The digimon and his partner exchanged glances, before Tyrannomon ran off to join the fray. Conner grinned behind his mask.

"Okay... NOW I contact Ethan."
