okay, so i haven't updated in forever. deal with it.
my apartment is great. sue and i decorated it really nice and jenny comes to visit quite frequently. she just finished plucking sue's eyebrows and now they are watching unfaithful with the dog and cat. i am obviously the lone genderqueer entity in kael's house of femme this evening.
my job is really good, only a few bitches and of course they all work with me. the unit is pretty disorganized and when the bitchy nurse leave in a few months i have a few suggestions for improvement. now ain't that some shit? i'll barely be off probation but i have suggestions how to run the unit more smoothly. most of the people are really nice and it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that the ones everyone can't stand are from the suburbs. *whatever*
i'm still being treated for thrombophilia, i have a follow up rheum appointment next month. it was supposed to be today, but i ended up take a continuing ed class and cancelling and one of the nurse practitioners nagged me a little about changing the appointment, because it is important for me to have close follow up. i had to chuckle at that one, remembering when doctors wouldn't give me the time of day because it was "all in my head". i also am going to be treated for my hypertension. they are really getting on me about losing weight. i lost some and hit a wall. being a thrombophilic and hypertensive is a recipe for disaster. they have me wearing anti-embolism stockings (very stylish). i walk twice as much being back in the city than i did at my mom's house, up and down stairs and hills - you'd think it would help but all i get is swollen ankles. speaking of doctors, my schoolboi crush doctor left the fucking practice and no one sent out a letter to let her patients know. i went in for a sinus infection and she was gone. had some kind of blow out with one of the other docs that's she's known since med school and went on leave of abscence and then quit. very professional. i always thought she was fucking this guy because she talked about him all the fucking time..how close they were - blah blah blah. lovers quarrel? whatever. i am looking for a new primary care doctor in the city - hopefully i will find one who is taking new patients and is halfway decent.
i also planned radical hair changes. i am done with the generic genderbender military buzz hairdo and decided on getting some fagalicious extensions so i can have that cutesy boy band hair. i wanted dreads at first - they are still an option. anyhoo - i'll post pictures as soon as i get extended.
