Promises I hope to never keep
I just made an offer to a crazy girl.
Well, I don't know if she's really crazy or psycho or whatever. It's just a vibe I get. Her energy is...fractionalized; not a unified whole. I just feel like she's one of those people who attracts drama. Or creates it. But I made her a promise, and I'll keep it if need be.
She said she and her son are living with her current boyfriend. Said boyfriend is in her words 'psycho'. However she's stuck there until she has knee surgery.
I don't know how many women I've known who have been in situations with men that are crazy/abusive/or just plain assholes because they have no other alternatives, nowhere else to go.
I told this girl if she ever feels unsafe to call me. If her psycho boyfriend is truly psycho and she feels she and her son are in danger, I told her, you call me,. And I meant it.
I would take her in if she needed it, crazy vibes and all. If a woman is in danger from her boyfriend or husband, I have to offer her safe haven, at least for a little while. I can't refuse her. That may mean that I'm easily hustled in that way. But so be it. In that situation, how could I say no?
