WAY overdue for an Update
Ok. So, considering the fact that it has been almost a MONTH since my last update and now I actually have time on my hands, I suppose I should update this thing. A LOT has happened since my last post. I'm sorry for being a livejournal slacker. I suck at life.
Anyway . . . I'll start at the beginning. After a VERY successful run of "The Learned Ladies", all of my attention was focused on making it through until Thanksgiving break. Obviously, I made it. I went to Florida to visit my grandparents. I had a BLAST! My brother was there for 2 of the days I was there. We spent Thanksgiving at Disneyworld. It was a LOT of fun. My brother and I went on as many rides as we could. The next day, we dropped Matthew off at the airport so he could go home, and then we went out shopping. The day after that, we went to Tarpon Springs for some more shopping. It was this great Greek fishing village. It reminded me of Pearl Street, except with more fish. HA! It was a whirlwind trip and NOT long enough, but I was thankful to get off of Staten Island, and away from Wagner for a while. I was going crazy here!

After I got back, I was focusing on auditions for next semester's shows and my showcase. The shows we are doing next semester are "Chess" and "The Music Man". I was lucky number one for auditions. I wasn't nervous at all. I got called back for the mayor's wife and Mrs. Paroo in "The Music Man". I ended up getting cast as Alma Hicks, but I am just happy to get cast. AND . . . Norb is directing and I LOVE him! I know that the show will be GREAT! The cast is awesome, and I can't wait to work with everyone. And since "The Music Man" is the second show of the semester, that means I can go to DC to the innaguration with my sister. YAY!
My showcase was AWESOME!!! I was MUCHO nervous because a LOT of people showed up -- more than I expected. And . . . I was closing the show. No pressure. But it went really well. I am MUCHO happy with my work, and all of my professors were happy with me as well. My wonderful roomie came down to see me, which was AWESOME! We ordered WAY too much pizza when she got here, and stayed up until 4 AM laughing about pie -- but it was the same old stuff for us. Oh -- MUCHO thanks to everyone who came and supported the seniors at showcase. Y'all ROCK!
Finals are over and done with -- thank GOD! I only had one real test final in Astronomy. My directing scene went really well. Thanks to Liz and Joe for all their hard work! I love you guys! This past week was spent rehearsing for our showcase in the city. Lets just say . . . that showcase in the city was a disappointment. Only one casting director and one agent showed up. (Thanks to the faculty for screwing us over!) But oh well. Can't expect people to do EVERYTHING for us. I'm just glad it's over and done with.
As for right now, I am packing up and getting ready to go home. I am working a fundraiser tonight at Snug Harbor (a Holiday Gala if you will) and then I am getting up at 5:30 AM tomorrow to get to JFK. My flight home is at 8:20 AM and I get back into Denver at 10:45 AM. All I can say is "THANK GOD!" I have been itching to get home for a LONG time! I can't wait to see all my Colorado people. I've missed everyone a LOT! And I want to get in as much time with people before Monday -- since I'm getting my wisdom teeth out. Welcome home -- now we're ripping things out of your face. I guess that's all I have for now. I'll try to update over break. I hope everyone has a GREAT winter break and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
