Well, what a summer it has been so far and unfortunately it has been going by too fast. Too fast that I cannot say scrumptious ten times fast. Hell, I probably can't even successfully say that word ten times fast.
What did my summer look like so far? Well, just to sum it up before I go into detail. I went to New York to visit Chrissy at the beginning of June. I worked all summer, tanned, went to the cabin, partied, and all that.
What can I say about the New York trip. It was an amazing weekend. I went to visit Chrissy in Long Island. The first day I landed in New York, Chrissy and Ally picked me up from JFK airport and we went straight back to Long Island to grab some lunch. We ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. We ended up staying there for like a couple of hours talking about everything from cochlear implants to RIT to friends and so much more. We went back to Chrissy's house and Ally had to leave. So, Chrissy and I decided to go into the city and explore. We got into NYC by train and we went to Little Italy and Chinatown and then to South Manhattan. We had a glass of wine at an Italian restaurant in Little Italy and we actually was carded but I said I didn't have my ID but I still got served. After the wine, we went to find the bar that Christian, Katie, Jenna, Amanda and Jon was at. We met up with them after like an hour and half trying to find the bar. I basically was completely gone by the end of the night. I blacked out on most parts of the way back to Long Island. So, it was like we had to take a taxi to the train, but I didn't even remember that I paid for the taxi fare, going to the bathroom before the train ride, get on the train back to the Island, or the conversation that I had with Chrissy on the way back or the car ride back to Chrissy's house. The next day, we went to Jones Beach to meet up with BJ and Katie A. Eric met us up at the beach. Katie had to leave early so we stayed for a little while then we four went back to Chrissy's house- minus BJ though. Chrissy had to leave for her aunt's house for a little thing then came back a couple of hours later. Skott came for the weekend as well. We went to the city the next day and spent the day in the city then came back to the island with Christian. The next morning, Eric left to go home and the rest of us stayed home and watched a movie. I ended up having a little nap on the couch on Skott's lap while they all were watching the movie. I had to fly out later that day- Skott brought me to the airport. To sum it up, I had an amazing weekend in New York. :)
I had to work like all summer and just basically picked up more hours at work. Work kept me busy but wasn't even that available to do things that I actually wanted to do such as going out on the lake all day and have some sun or go out partying with my friends. I have partied probably a few times this summer but I honestly don't regret making the money that I have earned this summer. I wouldn't have traded the job for anything else in the world. I gave up my social life to earn money and that may sound that I am greedy but I needed it. The first month of summer- I spent the month going to graduation parties, working, partying a little bit then July rolled around, I worked more and went out a lot less and finally had weekends off.
August is coming up very soon and that means the trip to New Jersey/New York is coming up very soon as well. :) I am flying out on August 2nd to see Skott then we are going up to the Catskills mountains for the Farm Party 3 on Friday the 3rd and come back Sunday afternoon. I am going to fly out back home on the 6th. Then I will be spending the week packing, cleaning, shopping, getting some tan as much as I can and partying with friends before I leave for Rochester. I am going to leave for Rochester- I think August 17th or 18th. I am not 100% sure yet. I haven't really worked things out yet... and I need to soon but I will figure it out in the meanwhile.
I will be roommating with Jena in Chili-- hopefully at Chili Heights, we applied so we are waiting to be approved which I'm very sure we will be. I fell in love with the apartment already even though I have not been to the apartment physically but I've heard so much from Jena. Jena took pictures and told me things about it. If we get approved, we will be moving in mid-August. We will have a two bedroom and an 1 1/2 bathroom apartment. It is very close to everything like the grocery store, Walmart, some stores, some restaurants and the park. We will have a pool so I can get some tan while the weather is nice in August and possibly September. It should be nice. I'm very excited.
Skott and I. Wow. We have been together for almost 24 months-- it will be 23 months in three days then 24 on August 25th. Where did the time go?!!! It doesn't really feel like we have been together this long but we have. Everyday has been always an adventure for us anywhere. We may be miles apart but our hearts have gone the distance to stay strong. Long distance relationships sucks but we've survived eight months of being apart. To be honest, at the beginning, I thought it will be eight long, long, long months but it actually went by so fast. I went to visit him in Rochester in April and he visited me at Chrissy's house for the weekend and I will be seeing him again in a couple of weeks. We will be sharing our two year anniversary at a wedding. Not ours. His older sister's wedding. Sounds like fun, huh? It should be though... but we wouldn't actually be able to celebrate it though. Speaking of weddings... I've got asked by many about my relationship and "is he the right one?" The answer is, I don't know. I am still young. I'm only 20 years old and I have so much to explore. I want to travel, finish school (at some point- ha), and be more mature before I get around to the idea of settling down and having a family and a husband. I want to be able to enjoy my twenties as much as I can before I get into that kind of lifestyle. We could go the distance or we may not. It's just we are just going with the flow and whatever happens, it happens.
Well, I think this is enough of an update for now. Ta-ta for now.
