A Return to LJ...
Wow, it's been awhile! I'm currently at work, so I can't promise that this will be the most PROLIFIC of posts. However, I was thinking about a meme I did at the end of 2005 and thought it might be interesting to see what has changed/stayed the same during the last 5 years. So below, please subject yourself to the horrors that were a 20-year-old Katie. My answers (embarassing as they are) have been left untouched. Let's say it's for posterity ;) The real reason is that I don't think you can grow unless you are unafraid to remind yourself of just how low you've been in the past and use it as a motivator for change. As a quick recap for 2005, the year started with me dating my best friend and falling in love for the first time. By July we had a hideous break-up, and by December I had made the decision to drop out of school (I'm sorry...I mean "take a break from college"). It was a pretty dark time for me, but it ended up ok. I went back a year later and ended up graduating from college, just as I always intended. The ex and I had an emotionally abusive and VERY unhealthy relationship consisting of fooling around because I was still in love with him and he...well, I don't know. Guess I was willing? But after I finally grew a pair and stopped talking to him for a year, we were able to regain our previous friendship (if not the closeness we once had). He married a friend of mine in September and they're very happy and I'm VERY happy for them.
