Tim Gunn posted a link via twitter to this article about a digital archive created by librarians at the New York Public Library and the Archives of the Fashion Institute of Technology.

"The collection, André Studios 1930-1941: Fashion Drawings & Sketches in the Collections of the Fashion Institute of Technology and the New York Public Library, includes more than 5,000 original drawings."

I'm in it for the drawings, but I thought there might be people on my f-list who enjoy costuming/costuming research who don't know this exists. The article points out that unlike Vogue's archives, this site is a free resource! Hmmm. I should probably post this to my tumblr as well.
