Recruiter 5 called me on Friday afternoon about a potential freelance gig, but I won't hear if I get an interview until after the holiday. This gives me time to flip through a couple of technical books to figure out if there's another work sample I can add to my portfolio and to review wireframe creation in Illustrator. Normally I use Visio, and I've done some tests in Fireworks, so it won't be too big of a stretch.
I watched the Fringe finale this morning, because I went out to the movies last night with
serialkarma. OMG SHOW KILLING ME SOFTLY. I will probably watch it again at some point this weekend, because I am a glutton for punishment.
I was confused by the fact that Person of Interest and Elementary were repeats this week. Supernatural had a new ep, and I reblogged many gifs in celebration. I also have an appointment in photoshop with another gif I saw that has nothing to do with spn YET.
My drawing continues to be hit or miss. As I've mentioned before, the real problem I have is with faces. Other aspects of my line art in the same picture are fine. Do I need to reconsider my decision not to take another course this semester? My only real chance of finding another job appears to hinge on acquiring a new skill, and its the only thing I've done during my job search where I've made real progress. Working on my own doesn't have the same net effect as formal study with an instructor. I'm working on my tax spreadsheets this weekend, so I'll see if I can find the money.
