Wow!
It has been forever LJ!!
The semester went by really fast.. and thats good, and bad i suppose. This week was finals week and I didnt have any finals.. it was really weird especially when in undergrad at Crane-o-la I would have anywhere from 4 - 7 'finals' in a week.. kindda nuts! I did have a jury on Wed. I sang "Black Swan", "Zueignung" and a handel piece with Trumpet... and yes.. the trumpet player came to my Jury.. that was my pick.. it was fun! I got some really great comments back and my voice is really on the move now.. Carol wants me to rethink my lecture recital topic (currently Vivaldi Vocal Works) to something in the Romantic or 20th century area. I have no idea what to focus on though.. Ive been set on Vivaldi for awhile now.. so I need to research some topics in Romantic or 20th C. vocal topics.
I know 2 of my grades already.. A- in Opera History and an A- in Bib and Research. I get a grade for lessons I think.. and I think its just Pass/Fail for ensembles.. So I might just come out with a pretty descent GPA this first semester of grad school..
What else... Ive met a guy from Cornell.. were hopefully going to hang out some this break.. he's 27, 6'3, brown hair and eyes... just my type.. hehe.. and he's a bio-med engineer.. that could fullfill my 'marry rich so i can sing' plan...
Over-all its been a really good semester.. and things are only looking brighter.. my therapy and med combo has kicked in and I'm finally kicking the depression thing that happens when you go through the hell that I went through.. and that feels good. Im off to NH with my sister and her BF.. and THEN.. off to Boston for New Years with Tracey, Melissa and Kristin!!! Thats going to rock.. PLUS I'll get to see mary and leslie (grad students at IC) and maybe Jason Luciana..
I applied to Florence for a summer program and am on the waiting list.. everyone pray and hope that people drop out or decide not to go so that I CAN GO!!... Im also headed back to Ballibay this summer.. I know I said last year was my last summer.. but.. I do love it there.. and I do need money.. SO!
thats about it I think.. im sure theres tons more.. but.. thats the most important stuff.
