Well, not dehydrated...

I went into the urgent care clinic today and even though the place was deserted, I still felt silly for being there. Since my dad's a doctor, I have a major complex where it comes to illnesses and having to *prove* that I'm actually ill. (Dad had this rule where if you were sick, you had to make it to school unless you were like demonstrably vomiting blood or something... then if you were still feeling sick, you could come home. But you had to be up and walking around and STILL ill, vs. just tired from staying up too late) I felt fairly ok when I got up and let the drugstore errand be the deciding factor.. Yeah, still feeling heavy and weird. I figured I was basically just dragging on the rehydrating thing and thought that a round of IV fluids would top me off nicely.

I felt a lot less silly when they told me that my temperature was 100.8. Holy cats, Batman! I had no idea I was walking around with a fever. Since I've done so much immune system boosting with energy work, illness gets worn a bit differently.

So it's likely something viral / flu-ish? Cuz I told them I've also been having some odd little pinpoint pains over my body. It's like a sort of microflu. No respiratory symptoms, the usual aches and pains are pinpoints, I'm walking around with a fever. The vomiting / diarrhea / nausea / chills / fatigue earlier in the week. Oh well. The doctor had to take a CDC mandatory flu swab, and they sent a blood test off to the labs. And after that I went to work... honestly... I'm not feeling all that bad. I took a tylenol for the fever. They didn't believe based on my symptoms that I was dehydrated, other than the normal need to stay hydrated while ill. So, duh, while I was walking around thinking I was feeling faint because I was dehydrated, I was actually walking around with a fever.

No, I haven't been to Mexico recently. *G* Lab results on Monday.

Felt the quake the other day... trains go by our work so sometimes it's hard to tell, but this seemed quakey because it was slower and "knockier" feeling. I thought it was the train because it took a few gov map refreshes before I saw the quake on the map.

Thanks for the well wishes... I love you, my friends.
