Ups and downs...
Strange weekend, with big ups and big downs....
It all started on Fri when I found out that my childhood friend had committed suicide. Obviously, a "down". Then as I was leaving for the show, i checked the mail, and I had a surprise bill from Mass. Eye and Ear Infirmary for $476.65, a balance from all of the tests the speech lab did on me...that I thought was going to be covered by my insurance. Awesome. Another "down".
Then we had the show, and it went really well. Saturday afternoon went well too, and before our 2nd show, the director, Tara, had some cool news for me. The theater is doing "The Music Man' in the spring, and the director for that was at the performance in the afternoon and asked her if she thought I'd be interested in playing Mrs. Shinn, the mayor's wife. (incidently, thta's the part I wanted to play...) So, that's a big "up". Then after the night time show, I went home with Andrew's parents and slept over there. His mom gave us an early Xmas gift....tickets to see "Wicked" next week!!!! A MAJOR UP! I've been dying to see it since it came out and just couldn't afford to go. So I'm psyched about that. And then of course, last night, the Sox won the ALCS and are going to the World Series.
Alright, so I guess it started on a downward spiral, but came back up. But still...some pretty bad stuff, along with some pretty great stuff. *sigh* Just thought I'd share.
