My fever broke yesterday early afternoon and from then on, it was like I was a whole new woman! Of course, this was after I fell asleep sitting up with my laptop open and in my lap, reading work email. Oops. This is what I get for trying to actually work instead of not be sick.
I felt better enough to shower and go out to eat when Shawn got home from work, which was nice since I haven't been out of the house in days. I am about to shower and actually leave the house under my own steam, which should be fun. I have errands to run before we leave for the hotel tonight.
We are spending the night at the Regency to celebrate our wedding anniversary, which is officially Monday date-wise but unofficially today. :) It is hard to believe that at this time last year, I was getting ready to go get married. We spent our wedding night at the Regency, and I was all about it when Shawn asked me if I wanted to go back there for our anniversary. It will be nice to get away, even for 24 hours. We got a nice package with super late checkout (2 PM!), full breakfast in the dining room or in our room, and valet parking. I think I am going to go to Central Market and get us lots of yummy food to graze on, and pack a bottle of wine in my bag. Mmmm wine.
I am really excited about my anniversary present...I don't have it yet because it is en route, but Shawn got me a beautiful white gold art deco filigree ring setting for the loose sapphire I have. We talked about using that stone for my engagement ring, but couldn't find a setting we liked for it. Of course I found the perfect setting a few months after I already had my ring...heh. Now it is mine! We will have to take it to the jeweler to set the stone once I do get it, but after that there will be pics galore!
His present has not arrived yet either, because his dad is using some "connections" to help me acquire it. I am getting him tickets to the NASCAR race in April, because I know he likes going to the races live but has only been a couple of times. He is super excited and trying to convince me to go if his dad hooks us up with more than one ticket. We'll see...I would definitely need earplugs.
Well, I am off to shower and run errands. Have a good weekend all!
