(no subject)
so in two weeks and three days, i shall be a 18. totally excited, if i do say so myself. goodbye to teen beat mags and 16 year old pin-ups and hello to a world of cigarettes, gambling, voting, and porn. (well, not really.. but you know what i mean.)
lately i've been planning my 18th birthday party extravaganza and i'm really excited. the guest list is up to fifty people. my mom and i are writing up invitations and deciding how we're going to do the catering (maybe rubio's?). it's all very detailed and complicated- such is my life. -dramatic sigh-
debra's been around lately, and that's pretty cool. it's just weird though because i'm still not completely comfortable around her- not like i used to be. but she snagged me some stuff from starbucks and taught me how to make a chai latte, so i guess that makes up for lost time..? haha
i was looking at the Fashion Institute of Technology website just out of sheer curiousity last night, and i discovered they have a communication bachelor of science degree! how awesome would it be for a person looking for a career in fashion magazines to graduate as a communications major from the top fashion school in the nation? very awesome. very, very awesome. so i argued it up with my parents, found out what i'd need to do to transfer into their program after two years at miracosta, and figured out exactly which classes i'm going to take while i'm at miracosta. i'm gonna do this! i am! woo!
i've also been looking into participating in the miss carlsbad pageant. i know. crazy. but i just can't help looking at it with an air of glamour. all those miss americas on tv had contributed greatly to their community, presenting such poise and grace, and were so talented. and beside the overly protruding waistline, i think i'd be a wonderful candidate for a pageant of this calibur. i told my mom about it and she said she'd help me lose weight before march 29th. she estimates around 25 lbs. i'm trying to estimate more.
so i guess that's my life so far- i miss all my school friends! i can't wait to see you guys, but i hope school doesn't come too soon. i'm too busy biding my time.
