Today, I visited DS to talk to sniors about college. Since today is wednesday, they had community time in which ppl from Union college (yes, cathy, i thought of you) spoke about their experience in New Orleans helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina. It was all very moving and well-done until the last slide.
The last slide of the presentation featured several of the girls seated on toilets (not with their pants down, but still). It was supremely awkward. Then a girl said something like: "We took a picture of it because, since there was no electricity, it was pitch black and you had to stumble around looking for a toilet..."
But here's the best part ... In the history of all puns, this was possibly the best (and what made it better is that the girl didnt realize what she had said)
"It was tough, but we made do."
I was like, what made you think it was ok to use a phrase like that when talking about a bathroom?
