Day 30: 2852 words
Oooh: hurt/comfort. Now we're really in trouble. On the plus side, I wrote a co-worker in for the express purpose of setting his character self up to die horribly and heroically -- at his express request. There's no accounting for some people's taste.
I think I'll be setting this aside to ferment for a bit before I take it back out to reconsider the plot, and tweak the characters that developed over the course of the writing so that they're rich and coherent from the start. There's plenty enough here to make rewriting worth the bother. Overall, I'm very pleased with the results of this year's NaNoWriMo efforts.
