Day 1: 2046 words

Nov 01, 2006 23:12

I did about 800 this morning, then topped it up before bed, while trying hard to ignore my jitters over the slowness of the forums and the failure of my attempt to send a regional email about write-ins. So that was a mixed bag of blessing wrath.

I have an introductory scene for each character, and I've discovered that the heroine is a little more spycrafty than I expected. There was a code phrase. And she made a promise that she knew she shouldn't be able to keep, but would desperately want to. Of course, I know that she'll break it for reasons outside of her control, and totally inside my godlike authorly pond.

I'm apparently having a mixxy metaphor day.
