My friend's nephew died. He was one of twins, they were identical boys who were 4 years old. She lives here in Australia, they live in France with her brother and sister-in-law. She is so broken and sad, I don't know what to do. She went to France for the funeral and is now back, but I think she and all her family are at a loss.
Added to this, my dear friend who I travelled with last year celebrated her birthday this week, but she was so sad because it was her first birthday without her mum, who died not long before our travels last year - that was one of the reasons we went overseas.
And with both of these wonderful friends, I didn't know how to help. I've lost family members who I was close to and still miss years later, but I can't find a way to translate what I understand as mourning to these two dear friends who are hurting so much. I would welcome any advice.
