it's hard to believe...HBHS...with NO coach?!?!
coach's cancer came back and for the past 2 weeks he's been in a wheelchair, as his health had been fading dramatically.
this morning he was admitted to the hospital so they could provide him with meds so he could rest comfortably in his final moments.
they don't expect him to make it through the day.
a guy i work with at area agency is a coach for nashua, and has been very good friends with coach for a number of years. he knows how much everyone likes him, myself included, and gave me the news when i came in this morning.
hard to imagine a high school with no positive energy like coach's.
the tiny man with the jumpsuit and a coffee in his hand no matter what.
talking fast, always smiling and laughing. and full of encouragement.
he lived an amazing life.
as he would say to us...
"good job coach. good job"
