Young!Marrow. Makes you want to cuddle her and take her home and teach her to dress properly instead of in rags, doesn't it?

Yeaaaaaaah...Marrow is a mutant and her power means her bone structure grows all weird and uncontrolled. She makes knives from her bones and hurts people with them.

That's a good site about Marrow, if you want to read up on her.

Awww Marrow sounds like one of those painfully sad characters. (I went to the link hadnt heard of her before today) But being able to make weapons from your bones? MAD! But also, ouch.

I lurve the drawing, she looks so helpless. As you would if you had uncontrolled bone growth. This is before she got all the anger and hate. And oooh, cool quote from that site.

Hate burns hotter than your pretty words and sleepytime dreams, and tastes better, too. Hate is the engine, I am the machine. . .and I will never. . .ever. . .stop!

She's so *angry* and she really has reasons for being the way she is as well. Also, she's not typically beautiful as all the other pretty women in the Marvel books are. Some of the art she has is really hateful though - like Rahne is usually drawn really badly as well. Icky art makes my eyes want to bleed.

Yes. What I hate is *lazy* art. Like, oh whatever, this will fill up this page. And its sketchy.

Grrr. Take pride people! Or dont do it until your muse is back!

It's worse when you're actually paying for the crappy art. Early 90's Marvel is characterised by crappy art. There's some artists you wonder how the hell they keep getting reemployed - but they DO.

1602, the latest New Mutants run and the Ultimate series all have remarkably pretty art though. Manga is very much influencing Western graphic art.
