[Closed/Incomplete] A blind date of sorts…

Apr 10, 2010 15:26

Characters: Sakurai Sho and Yoshitaka Yuriko
Setting: Restaurant, 5:20PM.
Content: Work safe
Summary: Sho refuses to believe that he needs someone in his life to make him complete, his friend thinks otherwise.

Sho adjusted his coat, pulling it tighter up to cover his neck as he headed off to the address of the resturaunt that his friend had given him. He couldn’t really understand what had him agreeing to such a ridiculous thing. Apparently his friend was bent on the idea that he needed a woman, a man, someone, really. Sho pushed the usual subject that the two would often go on about, annoyed by the fact that his friend refused to believe that Sho was perfectly happy with himself at that moment and he wasn’t really looking for anyone.

His friend had pushed more than usually, speaking of a friend of his, single, smart and beautiful. Sho just had to meet her. Sho was ready to flat out decline the offer, but had figured it if would finally shut the man up, he’d accept. The other man better shut his mouth and stop trying to set him up with anyone after this.

So there he was, being led to one of the tables in the place his friend had made reservations. On a blind date. A blind date? Sho felt like an idiot, to be honest. Maybe a little bit nervous. He had his fun, going from partner to partner when he was younger, but going on a date, and possibly thinking on the lines of a relationship wasn’t something he’d been successful in. He could only hope he didn’t make a complete fool of himself, whatever happened.

Perhaps he’d be lucky enough that whoever his friend was talking about was in the same situation as him? Being pressed into it. They could laugh, get along and have a nice dinner and possibly plan some sort of revenge for the mutual friend.

He sat down at the empty table, slipping out of his jacket and placing it over the back of the chair as he waited. Trying his best not to fidget like a nervous teenager on his first date. He'd had to change at the office, getting into something a bit more on the casual side of dressing up instead of wearing a stuffy suit. It was far more comfortable as he distracted himself by looking through the menu.
