Weather Report

This is Fujiwara Akio, reporting for the weather! This just in! It has been predicted that Tokyo will be experiencing some odd weather, due to the portal's activity this morning. Tokyo will be experiencing light flurries of ash. The amount of ash falling will increase and gradually turn red in color. During this time, the red ashfall is nonstop. It will be everywhere and no one, I repeat no one knows when it will stop. So be careful about inhaling it. Or just inhaling it in general. It could cause respiratory problems if inhaled. So I hear, anyway.

At approximately 0500 AM, a strange, monstrous roar suddenly bellows from the portal. It's inhuman, abnormal, and it definitely doesn't sound friendly. And the sheer loudness of it seems to shake the area surrounding it, a mere sixty seconds, give or take a few more. Only ashes is left behind. It doesn't seem like it would be coming back, whatever it was.
On the bright side, there will be some local bars that open and offer free drinks for your new year festive. One of them is Daemon, tucked in Roppongi. As the announcement it has on its door, you will have to bring your three friends in order to get the free drinks. As for the ash, the government and the military haven't say anything about what most likely caused this but rest assured, it's not poisonous but red.
