Living in the park is nice, and I love the pretty dresses Smoke helped me buy, but what I'm still confused about is the job situation. I was considering getting a job on the Farm, working with the crops or the animals, then I heard that there's a Housekeeping area and I'm good at cleaning, but then I thought maybe I could be an Adventurer because

I think I have both of those, and I would enjoy seeing what working on the Farm is like if you really don't mind showing me! I could get you lunch, or something, in exchange! I don't think we've met yet, I'm Cissus! What's your name?

[After writing down some instructions for getting to the Farmland, Huo went to wait for Cissus by the gate into the fenced area, curious about the newcomer. He certainly liked the thought of guiding her as Amurui had guided him - though perhaps be more talkative about it - and the Farm was a quiet place. A livelier presence would not go amiss.

He stood by the gate, sheltering his eyes from the sun as he watched out for her.]

[Following the directions, Cissus made her way to the Farmland. She was unsure of what to expect, but looked around for someone who looked like they might write like Huo did.

She smiled and waved as she approached, this time having planned ahead.]

I apologize in advance, I cannot speak for some reason, I can only repeat things. My writing is not impaired though.

[Thankfully, it wasn't hard to associate Huo's neat and elegant writing with the neat and elegant man himself, who smiled at Cissus as she approached and greeted her with a low bow.]

Cissus-nǚshì. Hello. I am called Huo.

[His face betrayed only a little surprise at what she wrote. Repeating things? That was rather more unusual than simply having no voice, but then, unusual was the order of the day. He responded simply with a quick nod.]

You should not be concerned - much stranger things abound here. Would you prefer that I write, as well?

[Bowing in return, Cissus was amazed by how composed Huo appeared even in a place like this.]

Called Huo... [She repeated, writing on her board.]

You can write if you like, or if you feel my possibly repeating some of what you say might get annoying.

[To that end, she murmured softly.] As well.

That will be no imposition, [he quickly reassured her with a shake of the head. Privately he admitted to himself that he was curious.

He gestured toward the gate, inviting her to walk besides him.] There is much to see. I hope you'll find the Farm to your liking.

No imposition. [she repeated, biting her lower lip afterwards as an apologetic look crossed her face.

She started to walk beside him, smiling pleasantly.] Your liking. I hope so too, are there lots of jobs one can do there?

There is a frankly confounding number of options, [Huo answered honestly as they walked, heading for the fields] although many call for specific skills. I've often been told that one soon finds one's personal inclination, and that seems to be true enough.

[When Amurui had been his guide, the wheat was full and golden. Now it had been harvested already, and instead, he led her to see the orchards, where the apples hung ready for picking. Red leaves, brown earth and apples in three bright colors were everywhere, until even the air smelled sweet and ripe. In a glance Huo chose a large and healthy green apple, and handed it out to Cissus with a smile.] If work under the open sky suits you, I think you will know it.

True enough? [Cissus pondered Huo's answer as she kept up, glancing around so she could learn the route.] I'm not sure what I'm good at, but I'll try anything!

[The only thing she knew for certain was that she didn't like being cooped up someplace when she could be outside among nature. Her eyes widened as they entered the orchard, the apples looking bright and tempting. Grinning her thanks to Huo when he handed her the apple, Cissus rubbed it on her dress before taking a bite.] I already do, I don't like being inside if I don't have to be.

Try what appeals to you, [Huo answered simply.] One thing or another will feel right. The people of the Sphere have all been in your place, and are very patient.

[He picked an apple for himself with one hand, and with the other made a sweeping gesture, indicating the breadth of the orchard and the lands beyond.] If you like the outdoors, you will find no better work. But the lands are vast, and the work sometimes difficult. We have machines that I will show you - without them, we would be largely helpless.

Feel right. [Cissus nodded, finding Huo's words to make sense.] Very patient? It's nice, being around people who seem like they just want to help.

[At his gesture she looked around, munching on the apple as she took in all there was to see.] Would be largely helpless? [That sounded scary, but maybe she could learn to be one of the people using the machines and helping to keep people from being helpless.]
