February 2007 Goals

Feb 03, 2007 09:07

Well, I waited until the third to post my goals this month, so I'll start by saying, "Happy Birthday, Dad!" Dad's 50 today, which is not really that old... at least not for old people.

If I Do Nothing Else: Implement David Allen’s “Getting Things Done” system.

Music - Front of House
- Play guitar 30 minutes a day, keeping tabs in a journal.
- Hold a two hour songwriting session with myself this month. I sit down and set an intent to write and let my creativity flow.
- Call “Greg,” who left an ad for voice lessons at the Drum Center, to inquire about said lessons.
- Research vocal microphones.
- Drum 30 minutes twice a week.

Music - Back of House
- Stop by Azur to drop off a CD.
- Look into places to play in Cleveland for an upcoming trip.
- Stop by that coffeehouse on Maxwell.
- Reach 100 friends on myspace.
- Send an email to my emailing list for my 2/16 show.
- Fix my “CD’s for Sale” sign.
- Do at least one long term planning/long term vision exercise to refocus myself.

Financial
- File my 2006 tax return.
- Make a minimum $200 payment to Chase bank, with the possibility of a larger payment if funds will allow.

Physical
- Go to the YMCA 3 times a week.
- Weigh 163 by month’s end.
- Floss daily.

Personal Development
- Refresh my Intention Manifestation index cards.
- Spend 5 minutes a day meditating on said cards. I try and envision those events/outcomes actually happening.
- Acquire and read “The Type Z Guide to Success with Ease.”
- Implement GTD system.

Social
- Respond to Suzanne’s letter.
- Connect with Dawn via phone or email.

Recreational
- Set up another casual Magic night.

Courage
This month, I need courage to keep moving forward, despite increasing the intensity of my goals. I also need courage to decide what it is I really want to do; I need courage to envision my life different (better) than it is now.
