Friday night I drove to Danville once again to play the Hub. 27 continued to be congested, though it wasn't as bad as last time. Why are so many people driving to Danville?

I had a really good time playing the show. The atmosphere was rather relaxed, and I was more aggressive with my soundcheck, so I was happier with my sound. I want to do more of this. I did notice, however, that I need more "quality" original songs. I have about five originals I think are "top-notch," but I feel less certain about most others. This lack of depth becomes a problem during a two hour show. It's also a problem when I stick to the stronger covers like "Stay" and "Beautiful Day." I need more original material that can stand up to those songs. Crista came out to the show, which was a pleasant surprise. Thanks, Crista (and when you get your voice back, you can sing with me). I'm not playing again until the Friday after Thanksgiving, when I'll be at Common Grounds. See you then.
