I greet this special morning with my first shower in four days! The things that you'll tolerate as a mother of a six month old is amazing...
I come out of the shower to find Daddy and Ella happy, so I take the opportunity to finish up preparations for the party and pick daffodils while it's snowing.
Before everyone arrives, we have a quick moment for a self portrait and a snack.
The godparents show up, so it's time to get Ella dressed. Godmama imitates Ella's dislike of her bonnet.
We walk to church
Grandpa and his girl
The ceremony and church shenanigans
After church, the party starts!
The cake was as yummy as it looked
Small fingers liked the frosting better, though.
Then we pose the girlie
Her godmama and Nana Bev made her gown from my wedding dress
Finally by 7pm, the last stragglers leave and Daddy crashes on the couch and I fall asleep in the chair with a nursing baby.
The day went without a hitch, even though I forgot the olives. I'm just thankful we won't have to repeat this until the next baby.
