DITL - 28 May 2016

May 30, 2016 18:25

2nd time attempting DITL. Here's hoping it works... No warnings except for lots of pictures.

Didn't realize it was DITL until after I'd been up for an hour, showered and walked to a grocery store to find out that the deli didn't open for another hour and half.

Waiting for the bus to take me to the second store.

There it is, finally!

With the temperatures in the high 30s to 40s Celsius (86-104 Fahrenheit) the last week, gotta stay hydrated.

Longer walk than I anticipated.

Almost there...

I can see it!

Whew, made it!

Text with mum.

Was in and out in 20 minutes. Here's my 1st of many bags...

Again, with the waiting on buses.

Also, with the hydration.

Caught my bus and made it to my destination. Now walking around one side of the mall.

Walking music.

Made it to the end of the mall.

I can sort of see the 3rd store.

There it is!

Again with the waiting, after shopping.

Double-check the weather, as I noticed it was getting hotter and hotter as the hours went by.

Figure it doesn't hurt to drink more water.

Bus!

Debating whether to get off at home and drop the stuff off or continue to the 1st store...

Back to the first store I was at...

Last bus today!

My mum and I are doing a pedometer challenge through our work. The goal is to walk 10,000 steps a day for the whole month of May.

Yay, bus!

Almost home! The upper windows facing the camera is our new apartment! Moved in, in April and still settling, lol.

It's a walk-up, so I curse the stairs every time I go up them.

So close...

First things first...

Then take off my pants, because of the heat and I want to wear them later on.

My entire haul.

One of which is a new entry way mat.

Testing to make sure the door won't push it from the inside.

And from the outside.

Again, hydrating.

Nom some breakfast.

While I surf the man's computer.

Attempt to get evidence of my 10,000+ steps.

Make a note of the next DITL days.

After surfing, decide to lounge on couch and watch Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Grab some vitamin C.

The mysterious man appears.

Lunch.

Watch some more TV.

Then the man convinces me to go out to yet another store...

I read a bit when we get home, while waiting for my parents to pick me up.

I'm magically in their car, travelling to (omg!) another gorram store (this time for their shopping).

We rock out and sing along to the radio.

1st parental destination.

They're searching for cabinets that are supposed to be at this location.

Get some stuff for their bbq and yet another store.

Travelling...

More travelling..

Magically appear at my aunt's place, and say hello to their cat.

Check out my cousin's soccer field.

Here's the mastermind (with his dad in the background).

Here's the bookworm (just like the rest of us).

Relax and chit chat.

Present time a day early for the mastermind.

The whole family checks out the Hardy Boys books mum got him.

Then my awesome wrapping job. I didn't manage to get photos of my gift, but he got a Yoda shirt (that was the grey wrapping you see) and a Yoda graphic novel type book.

My 24 year old cousin passed away in August and the family wanted to do something in memory. We decided to go with a monetary award to a student at her high school and wrote a card to her mum to explain (so we wouldn't make her cry on Facetime).

Travelling home... took this pic to show the man... He misses having a Harvey's close by, so he was a little upset with me.

Home sweet home!

The man waited to start this movie until I got home. We'd never seen Now You See Me and we saw the trailer for the 2nd one recently. We watched and then I went to bed.
