This is extremely difficult for me. I've read quite a few good books, it's hard to pick just one. However, since I have to, I would have to say The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. It expands on his now famous youtube video, where he talks about things that everyone can relate to. It's full of life lessons. When I find myself in a difficult time, I read this book and it puts everything in perspective.
