And on to #44 Blueberry Hill. Again, the angel knocked politely, and again he carried a package with him.

Phoebe wasn't hiding in the attic...

...because she had come down to the kitchen to make tea.

When she heard the door, she froze, wondering if she should pretend that she hadn't heard it.

Swallowing, Phoebe made her way to the door and opened it, looking hesitantly out.

When she saw who it was, she managed a small smile.

"Big brother."

Aziraphale felt absolutely awful at seeing the hesitation in that smile, and the fear in Phoebe's spirit, and without speaking he set down the package he was carrying and held out his arms.

[ooc: May need to beg SP soon, as I think I'm heading to bed shortly. :) Also? I just got this notification, dammit. I'm so sorry.]

There was no hesitation in her reaction. She moved into his arms and just held on.

[[OOC: That's okay, hun. NyQuil and I were BFFs last night. :)]]

Aziraphale was more than willing to stand there and hold Phoebe tightly for as long as she needed. Quite literally, in fact.

He did, however, bend his head to kiss the top of hers, and projected a soothing and comforting aura around her.

After what seemed like a very long time... or not long enough... Phoebe stepped back to invite him into the house.

With a smile and a nod, Aziraphale followed her inside.

"It's good to see you," he said softly, knowing Phoebe would understand that he meant, it was good to see her healthy and whole, if not entirely happy.

"I'm happy to see you, too, Big Brother."

"You worry me to distraction, Siblet," Aziraphale chuckled. "Here, I've brought you some tea and biscuits, shall we have a cup?"

"I'm sorry," she said softly. "I'd love to."

"Don't you apologize, my dear, it's not your fault I fret too much," Aziraphale said soothingly. He led Phoebe to a chair and sat her down. "May I use your kitchen?"

Phoebe smiled and sat down. "Of course you can... and that wasn't what I was apologizing for."

"Oh?" Aziraphale said curiously, as he set about brewing up a quick pot of tea.

Very quick, since he didn't really want to sit around and wait for it. Why he didn't just miracle the whole up instead of going through the motions was probably a mystery for the ages.

"For what... for Phillipa."

"Well." The angel brought Phoebe a cup of tea and sat down next to her. "Phillipa didn't do anything to me personally, so there's no need even for her to apologize on that count. And as for everyone else, I rather imagine she's accounting for her deeds even as we speak. You weren't responsible for any of it, and so there are no apologies needed in that instance either."

"It was my body she used to hurt so many people... and she enjoyed it. I could feel that and it was so... wrong."
