Dark Heart

Feb 03, 2013 17:37

The heart

is a rough black stone.

A bit of star-stuff,

sooty and smoky,

scorched and burn't on its long fall to earth.

Which speaks,

in accusations:

"You'll never be pretty enough"

"You shouldn't have done that"

"You're too quick to anger, too quick to fear"

"Now look what you've done!"

The heart

beats within our lover.
Hear it:

"What a beautiful person"
"I love what my lover does"

"How graceful!"

"I adore you"

The heart

beats within you
Feel it: beating

Pulsing with life

beating

Growing quicker

beating

at your lover's touch
beating

Pumping

beating

the waters of life

beating

in each of us

Some of the dust

falls away.

The heart

Knows.

Breathe deeply,

Feel your body:

Gravity's pull

Slow breaths

Energy all about

The world felt (but unseen)

The heart

holds a bright fire.
Close your sight-eyes

And feel with your heart.
Your lover's heart:

beating

The beauty inside

pulsing
Feeding every cell

feeding

Spreading warmth

glowing

The heart

can see.

Make love, sing, and see:
yourself
reflected in your lover's caress
yourself
as the beloved sees you

yourself

in a mirror that sees no falsehood
yourself
in a way that brings no blame

yourself

as the Goddess sees you.

The heart

Can heal.

The rough-hewn heart cracks

Pieces break, slough, and tumble

Away.

The heart

Awakens.

Hold yourself,
make love,

And look in the mirror:

yourself
Beautiful

yourself
As the Goddess made you

yourself
A piece of star-stuff

yourself
fallen to earth
yourself
and brought to light.

The heart is a sparkling stone

Of polished black obsidian.

The Star Goddess saw herself

In the infinite curved black mirror of space

and fell in love

And created Miria, all of us, from that perfection

and fell in love
And from their union came the Blue God, playful

and fell in love
And from their union came the Green God, creative

and fell in love
And from their union came the Red God, passionate hunter

and fell in love
And they danced together
and fell in love
Until the whole of creation fell back into the star goddess again

and fell, in love.

Her heart, perfect, shining, black, infinite

Forged in love.
Her heart,

Is also yours.
Which fell (to earth)

In love.
