Recently, I was inspired by several comments in an online discussion elsenet to put my 20+ years of HR experience, SPHR certification, and MS HRM to use in offering help to the unemployed (or under-employed) members of the kink community.
Hence, I now offer:
Job Coaching for the Kink Community
Today's economy has hit a lot of people pretty hard, and there are many in our community who are looking for work.
This drop-in job coaching opportunity is for anyone who would like to have help with writing a resume, searching for jobs, and/or for "putting your best foot forward" in job interviews. If you want help with your resume, bring your current version for review -- or, if you're starting from scratch, bring the dates/titles/employers of your job history, and a way of taking notes.
Please note this is not a job fair (e.g., there will be no employers present).
These services are offered to the community free of charge, but those who can are encouraged to purchase food/drink from Wicked Grounds during the event.
The next job coaching event is Wednesday, February 15th, from 6:00 - 9:00 PM, at Wicked Grounds in San Francisco.
