Passing this question along for someone on my friends list, who is looking for some pointers to core contemporary transgender theory (as opposed to early feminist/queer theory being applied to transgenderism):

Who are considered to be the principle theorists currently, and who are the principle critiques (within or outside queer/transgender writing)?
